This post is a fine bit of well intentioned input. rodwc is on the mark when stating that anyone who takes the time to benefit other members as The Zigmeister has and many more as well, they always will appreciate a kind word for the effort. It is only human nature, and it is also good manners, especially if the reader of the instructive post learns something of benefit and use. Keep the ole 'Golden Rule' in mind and there will be a much happier forum.

Pam 111, still with the steel.

This rep is one of the first I ever purchased and while it looks good, quality wise it is a POS. Thats why it only sells for 150 bucks. The gold rubs off right away, and the hands fall off if you bump it. I sent it back and it was fixed, but in the end I just gave it away. If you want something that looks nice in your watch case then get it otherwise, pass...

A rare peek into factory of counterfeit watches
hambone replied to Corgi's topic in General Discussion
This was posted earlier actually.. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry371825 Poor woman with very bad Hublot reps. The Timezone crowd took much glee in this news item. Vicious bastards. -
Whats the deal with all the HBB being pulled off all the dealers sites?

Lawyers for Hublot, scaring the Chinese Govt. "No Clispy duck fo you" :cc_chinese: -
They are indeed not all quartz watches and the Cartier name is a long and historically recognized fine watch brand, not jewelry, although their line of Jewlery is well known, the quality of the watches they make are legendary.

I have heard pro and con for running the chrono movement all the time. Both Andrew and Josh do not reccomend it and say it pust a strain on the mechanism functions of the watch and I have noticed some running their chronos full time without problem. If The Zigmeister says it is ok, then that is reassuring yet I still feel hesitant to run them based on what the seller has stated. It seems logical that a 7750 rep movement might be compromised by the extra work, and being conservative about my watches tend to follow that feeling, however I would really like to hear a definitive answer from an expert.

Are there hungry trolls around here? Never really noticed.

There is so much valuable information here at RWG which allows the rep collector to engage in an awesome pastime and hobby without having to be taken advantage of by unscrupulous websites. Many here have been victimized and discovered this site after trial and error. The wealth of information available here is free for the very cheap, but for a token Supporter membership, one can gain access to even more info and feel good about ones self that they have contributed to a very worthwhile cause. It is baffling to me that there are so many members here who have been around longer than myself who still have not contributed to the place they spend so much time and have learned so many things about watches. Rep collectors engage in this pastime to a large extent because the cost of reps which are nearly identical to the gens are so much less money. This is the great appeal, however it is the height of 'cheapness' to use this forum and not support it. IMHO.

Panerai and Rolex are both exceptional watch brands consisting of superior design and quality, yet both stand alone in their unique contributions to the world of wrist watch collectors. I have not seen that many collectors of Panerai gens who also own Rolex and vice a versa. Just two days ago a gentleman came into my workplace wearing a gen 231 gold Radiomir. He owns over 100 watches, and had the very same ceramic bezel gold Hublot BB that I have a rep of, however he owned no Rolex and frowned when I asked if he owned any rollies. There are now so many fantastic gen watches available that many watch collectors are snapping up. It seems that the Rolex collector, (gen) , and in general, are those who have viewed Rolex as a status watch that demostrates the success and 'arrival' of the owner, and not neccesarily a person who knows a great deal about watches. Most gen Rolex owners I speak to are often not fully aware of what they own themselves and are at a loss to share knowledge of other categories of the brand, such as Daytona, Submariner, GMT, etc. It seems that they know that they have a genuine Rolex and that makes them happy. It is most interesting, and I would not have even thought to inquire about the watches worn by those I meet daily in business, so I must be grateful to this forum for the many things learned in over a year about our hobby and the watches we collect.

Those damn Hublot, driving their Yugo, can go blow a slo-mo homo in a sideshow with their cargo of fast-gro hair glow. No mo of that no show go go to stimulate their vertigo. Big Bang finish....

Very good looking watch there dog. Your new avatar is great as well. What movie is it?

The combination of material and contrasting textures and the amount of work involved in making the rep of this watch is above and beyond the labor in the manufacture of most watches. This is why they cost so much for a rep. I know many have a hard time grasping the fact that a rep watch is so expensive, but until you see up close how well these are made, it pretty much washes away the skeptisism.

Thanks for sharing that heartwarming Chinese Police action on a lowly watch vendor with very poor quality reps. This is no doubt a 'token' bust to satisfy the, as Mike Margolis put it "Hublot Police" which are not police but high paid international copyright lawyers tasked with making it as difficult as possible for the Hublot rep makers. They have had varying degrees of success for sure. Trustys site no longer lists them for sale and Joshua is the same. The problem is that they did to good a job of copying them, and when the top guys at Hublot got fooled, they got mad. That poor woman in the photo was just doing her job, and it is not a pretty picture to see those at Timezone so bloodthirsty.

Well there is nothing toothless about this thread

Sonicare is a good one, Braun is what I have used for a couple of years and it is as good as Sonicare, with Oral B coming is a distant third. The Braun has a double head rotating and vibrating brush which work more efficiantly than the single head brush of Sonicare. The only downside is that the replacement heads are about the cost of three toothbrushes., but hey your teeth are important and deserve to be pampered.

Since Quayle could not spell "Potatoe", I wondered how long it would take till someone noticed I spelled his name wrong in tribute. Leave it to you to discover something as insignificant as that to make an argument over. Cmon up to the farm we could use some barn cleaners. Unfortunately, I am only up in Finland during the summer for a couple of weeks, but I will make certain they give you a sturdy shovel and a couple bottles of beano. Dictionary on request. Oh, and if you really new about Dan, our former VP you would also know that it was not 'Daniel', but James Danforth aka "dan". Always be sure to get your corrective jabs in from a learned position.

Most would agree that the hot air combined with the methane from Pugwash's beer farts is a major contributing factor to 'climate change' , global warming' or whacky weather, your choice. Ease up on the pale ale Pug and don't talk so much.

Lanikai, enjoy your new watch it looks fantastic, and thanks for posting it. I was hoping it could be done in a positive way without turning into a he lied, he is a bad man, continual argument about what goes on with the politics concerning this watch. It is just an effing rep watch, no more no less. If it was made by Pygmies from the Amazon, more power to you.

Congrats Lani, it looks fantastic. Not being a Rolex 'expert' maybe some of those who know this watch so well can chime in with their opinion. Wear it in good health Bruddah!
