ALL CHRISTMAS THREADS HAVE BEEN MERGED HERE!
hambone replied to Viennawatch's topic in The looney bin
Have a most Joyous Holiday and may Santa bring you the watch of your dreams! Here is the Bellagio Lobby in Las Vegas.. -
"Oh The HugeManatee" LOL that is priceless. Take a look at the movie "The Hindenburg" with George C. Scott, from 1977. It does a very credible job of combining actual news footage with reconstruction film from the inside of the airship. I have always been fascinated with dirigibles, zepplins, etc. The Hindenburg disaster effectively put the brakes on this form of travel for all time, although there has been a resurgence of lighter than air travel.

Merry Christmas to all! @ POTR, Sorry dude that looks like a girls watch.

Take a good look at the Panerai website through this link and you can see the complete run of all Panerais. Not all are made as reps, but pretty much close to all of them. This may be of help. http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingu...mp;id_sezione=3 Every watch brand has it's own characteristic design that can make them appear similar. The same can be said for....people. To many black people all white people look the same, and so on. Funny how that works.

Pugwash's choice of Replica of the Year 2007
hambone replied to Pugwash's topic in General Discussion
Someone has to be the voice of dissent. To fairly judge what is the best replica of 2007, I submit that the person doing the judging has all of the potential watches before him. Does pug have the Assioma by Bvlgari at his disposal? How about the controversial Hublot Ceramic Big Bang? I have seen SFSO replica in person, as a friend purchased it from Trusty. It is a very fine watch indeed, but if you want to talk about the BEST, it is the HBB. I own my, and Pug owns his, but again I submit that he has not had this watch in front of his peepers to judge it. I would be willing to send my example to The Zigmeister, who would be an excellent neutral judge, and let us hear his opinion. Thank you for your submission Pug. I respect your opinion and trust that you will respect another qualified opinion as well. -
Did you ever wonder why they call it the Bvlgari ASSioma?

Lanikai offers sound advice, but whatever happens, try to avoid using a belt sander like this....

To concur with Kenberg, this non english vid takes the prize. Prize for what who can say?

One thing that I should have made clear is that when you use needle nose pliers to move the two ridges inward, do so very gently and not too far, as this will effect the clasp locking mechanism. Moving them ever so slightly will remove the 'pain' aspect entirely, as it has worked perfectly for me, but if you move the ridges too far inward, you wil find it difficult to unclasp, so while this method does work, be very careful.

Ultimate "Wrist Shot" - HBB Polished Ceramic and Rose Gold
hambone replied to TomRiddle's topic in Other Brands Area
This is very well put and sums up my feeling also that there are not many reps out there that can surpass the RG ceramic HBB and although I have purchased the Bvlgarii Assioma, (great rep) there have not been many other watches that have tempted me, so even though given the high price, the fact is that it has saved me money in the long run. After 6 months wearing it close to every day, it is still as pristine as the day I got it. Those of us who own this watch know for a fact that it is the greatest replica ever made and are as as happy as pigs in poo to own it.  -
This is a GEF from TC straps on the 127.

Mid Week Wrist Check (19-20th of Dec, 2007)
hambone replied to Mark Eleven's topic in General Discussion
Just got the screw that fell out of my Bvlgari from Trusty. He first sent me a whole new bracelet no charge, and when I said all I need was the screw for ther lug post, he then sent two new lug posts with screws. He is a good guy, and this watch is one of the best reps of 2007 IMO. -
ALL CHRISTMAS THREADS HAVE BEEN MERGED HERE!
hambone replied to Viennawatch's topic in The looney bin
Wishing a Mele Kalikimaka to all, during this Christmas season. Times like this, I miss the spirit of Christmas in the land of 'Aloha' -
As you can clearly see, Clutch Cargo here is lamenting how short this thread really is, and that any further posting would be futile.

Looks great, congrats. That happens to be my favorite Rolex, and If I ever get one this will be it. Just wish they were a bit bigger.

The correct answer is not always the best answer, but in this case, it certainly is Ollie!

Ultimate "Wrist Shot" - HBB Polished Ceramic and Rose Gold
hambone replied to TomRiddle's topic in Other Brands Area
Thanks Tom, nice video you made. You and I know how fantastic this watch is. I wish it was more affordable so more of our fellow members could buy one also. I know we had to weigh the worth of paying $700. + for this watch, but now that it is $1100.00 +, not many can justify paying that much for a rep watch, but if you look at it from the point of not paying $20,000, the going gen price, and how much more work has gone into the rep, far more than most. It can still be worth it. It was named watch of the year in 2005 for a good reason. -
Welcome, and yes it is all about supply and demand. In China, you are at the source, however the quality range goes from very bad to very good and in Beijing the merchants could mostly care less about quality versus profit, so they buy the very cheapest reps from the makers and sell these for probably keystone. Beijing is not the place to buy reps and when you are in Guanzhou, where the majority of watch assemblies are done, you can get good deals, but then again you must smuggle them back. The best quality reps are available are for the most part what the dealers in our forum offer. If the prices are higher than what you would like to pay, then you are not alone, but that is pretty much the way it is. You can be secure in knowing that, as you have said, finding this forum gives you license to acquire the best reps available for the best price. Happy hunting and Merry Christmas

Yes Victoria, you are welcome. I do believe that the purpose of our forum here is to give the members an unbiased and forthright view of personal experiences regarding their rep watches, both pro and con. You have written a nice review yes, but this is not your personal blog. Anyone considering buying this watch should know that it is basically a piece of junk. I owned one. It disentegrated in less than 6 weeks. The backside function is quartz and moves like a one legged sailor. It does not even keep time. After the hands fell off, and I had it returned, the hands became misaligned again, and because it is such a good looking watch, repped after one that is a million dollars, it was a very dissapointing experience. As an owner of this shabby creation, it is only in the sprit of being a good neightbor that I warn others about something they might be considering purchasing.

One of the greatest treasures in all the world, the performance of a 6 year old little girl. Enjoy and cherish her, they grow up way to fast.

Not a bad sub at all for a 1966 cartoon.

17,6 after a dozen attempts. Tried this before and it is a tough one, and yes it gets boring.

Geez Rolli, the PVD on your 232 is simply gorgeous. What a great idea and a superb looking watch. Congrats on a job well done. -
Maybe in 2008 I will find another rep watch made with the quality that this HBB is. That would be great!
