  1. Thanks for posting the terrific Panerai photos. Well done and nice watches. Good looking strap combos as well.
  2. Welcome Bjornhulst and congrats on your Davidsen 111H. Excellent first choice. As DVN has a few versions of the 111H, you might want to follow the above advice and make sure you are getting the "ultimate" version if this is what you are expecting and what you paid for. It is a good idea for your benefit to be as clear as possible,
  3. One of the greatst live rock shows ever. Saw them in Honolulu in the seventies, and they were unbelievable. This one show they do may or may not get the juices flowing to rekindle the old magic. Incredible performers.
  4. I got my HBB from Trusty Time. It was about 350 bucks less than the current price, however it is the best rep I have ever seen, or purchased. It is unfortunate that they cost so much now. BTW, love the avatar, a machine gunning cat is a fearsome pussy indeed!
  5. Well Vic since you don't have a pricey HBB and don't know how to fix it, RCHK' method while well intentioned, shows those white bulging band aids should you turn your wrist over. I know because I tried, and it looks like crap. Using my proven to be reliable common sense, I tried the aforementioned technique. Thanks a heapload for your suggestion.
  6. Here's one for the 'big' watch crowd. Made of Japanese washi, this baby will not let you forget what time it is. Got it during my last trip to Japan.
  7. There are two ridges which protrude on the inside of the HBB clasp causing this issue. If you put a small bit of gauze or cotton to prevent scratches and squeeze the ridges inward, then this will fix the problem. Either that or do not wear the watch to tight. Try to avoid using hammers or belt sanders.
  8. I saw Elton John wearing this watch and asked him if he used the chronograph function to time his anal penetration sessions. Reggie gave a sheepish grin and asked if I was in the audience that night. True story, with a very minor embellishment.
  9. Well....Since you asked, and it is not news to anyone here, the RG ceramic HBB is my best rep choice for 07. I got a few others, and have much fondness for them however this one is something special.
  10. My taste in watches runs the same as my taste in art. Eclectic. There are so many beautiful watch styles and it is impossible for me to be nailed down to a specific look. Variety is the life of spice. or something like that.
  11. There is no need for profanity and the censored word software is a prudent measue as some can be rather foul mouthed and offensive. An occasional expletive here and there is in keeping with the fact that everyday language the world over among adults and the majority of kids it seems includes profanities as common as any other word. So, keeping a clean. G rated forum is a healthy exception to the norm. However, for those who want to insert a limerick, taking a photo of the text and posting it will do the trick, Or...We could debate the merits of snatching watches versus watching (censored).
  12. When guys want to start matching their watches with their socks then as Borat noted, they should join in the parade for 'happy' men who are equipped with rubber fists.
  13. Mucho mahalos for the link WP. This is another great way to sit in front of the PC.
  14. Here are a couple of the ceramic bezel RG HBB dial shots that show how interesting the work on the dial really is.
  15. This thread is so exciting, that a guy could unload a quart of man gravy!
  16. I was sure that the word [censored] would be on the list and it was not because [censored] is two words. Go figure
  17. Welcome to the forum. a great place as long as you own some good kevlar outer wear. Buy as many rep watches as you like, but not to many, as some people have been deported to Sweden even though they are a citizen of the country and are not even from Sweden. Doing lots of reading will certainly help you avoid the pitfalls of the hobby and discover the many pleasures. Have fun!
  18. Too bad Hatton lost the fight tonight after 10 rounds. He did however stop Mayweather from his show off routines and dancing, Hatton was in Mayweathers face pounding away all through the fight, and it was a very good fight, but Mayweather was the clear winner and better boxer. First defeat for Hatton. Who knows, he might be back to beat him now that he knows what he is like up close.
  19. Not to egg on anyones face here, but the omlettes are ready..
  20. Are we talking gen or rep here? Rep, one is impossible. Gen would be the solid gold 231 Radiomir.
  21. Happy Birthday to you!
  22. Whoa...that's so rectangular dude. You should post it on Paneristi so they can blow chunks on themselves. Thanks for the laugh!
  23. Just as mezzanine has stated, the ceramic HBB is one hell of a rep watch, and I must agree that with his assesment that it is so well made that as an owner of this watch, you feel as though it should be treated like a gen. It really seems like one, and although I have bought a couple of reps since, the HBB is the one that has 'done me in'
