  1. Hi Rolex Experts, i wanted to check and ask for your comments on the following: I got a ETA 2789-1 movement serviced locally and not too long ago..Whilst I was doing some mods on my Snowflake recently, upon removal of the crown, I noticed that there was some dark-looking oil on the stem.. I dismissed it thinking that it was most probably lubricant from the movement and cleaned up the stem..just yesterday being curious, i removed the crown again and noticed that the same dark-looking oil was covering parts of the stem.. Is this normal, especially after the movement has been serviced? If not, what should I see or not see? Appreciate your advice.. Thanks!
  2. 1. Gen insert..yes 2. TC also has a SD bracelet..some members have done a fitting to the SSD and it fits very nicely 3. Yes. Again some members have drilled lugholes but they change the dial and crystal to reflect the series..
  3. Welcome to the forum To answer your questions: 1. There is a new sub in the market , named the TC Submariner aka wm9 v4 Do a Google search on TC Submariner..you'll find his blog 2. The TC dial is a good swap if you want to do so..it's superlume and comes with superlume hands as well. 3. TC also has bracelets with very good looking coronets on the clasps..you might want to go with V2 or V3, depending on the fit of your midcase.. Enjoy!
  4. thanks for replying..so it could be the crystal that's distorting the rehaut..hmmmm.. would a service T-19 be a better option then... mate: do you have pics of your watch parts prior to sending out?
  5. Here's my Snowflake as it is..just installed Clarks T19 into it..when i bought this, i was told that the midcase is a Phong 9411 case.. there is the '9411' inscription in between the lugs..can some of the other experts shed some light on this? Based on the above pictures, I am not too sure if it's the crystal that is making the rehaut 'wokky'.. The movement in the Snowflake is currently an ETA 2789-1 and if I am to look for a donor case from the Cartel 5512/5513/1680 to put the guts in, which would be a much better choice in terms of stem height.. I believe the 5512/5513/1680 are using the similar midcase but with different dials and crystals.. Thank you in advance for whatever advice is provided.

  8. thanks for the additional image J.. would getting a replacement crystal from Clarks help? is your crystal rep or aftermarket or gen?
  9. mate...try this brand Proporta UK..do a search on ebay.. there's a sleeve that I am using..it works with the smart cover on the ipad 2..
  10. fantasy??? that's the 36mm explorer no? do you have a pic of the crystal height on that one? it looks very good from that angle.. perhaps a lower bezel would give the illusion of a 'taller' crystal?
  11. J: Which crystal would you suggest using for a 14270? Loving the crystal height on your Explorers..
  12. what happened to the rail dial??? nice dial from NDT..RA will be able to settle the 'orangey' lume issue for you.. wow @ Sgt At Arms.. cant wait to see the specs..also if you can share the total damage for your beauty..
