  1. Good lookin out, gentlemen! I would never have known any of the aspects you all brought up. I have my dream watch in mind, and I would be devastated if I spent a bunch of money only to find out is was on aftermarket parts and a gen movement. Just one more reason I love this place and all the knowledge that I can gain from members here.
  2. Well done! I have to build one of those some day. Yours looks great!
  3. Ah, yeah, the Tudor hands would be way off. I don't think I have ever seen an aftermarket set of hands like that. But I am sure someone here can steer you in the right direction. We both know the knowledge base here is incredible. Sorry I couldn't help.
  4. I am by far no expert, and really have no idea, but would the Tudor hands that Clark sells work?
  5. That is a great group of parts, you are so close! If you can, finish it. I saw your sales post, if only I had the funds. I would jump on that!
  6. I think you have a great idea! I agree with E, I think it would add value down the road. It could make a wonderful gift from your wife to your daughter on her wedding day, or perhaps when she has her first child.
  7. Thank you for the information and your expertise! Well done!
  8. Thank you for the update and all your hard work! Really looking forward to this!
  9. I did. Good catch. I don't post here a lot, but I sure do read a lot. I was watching this auction thinking I may actually be able to finally afford a snowflake. Thanks to all the experts that watch out for us that do not know as much. I love this place.
  10. I picked this one up back in March. I love it. But the polished center links are a magnet for scratches, at least for me. I got a gen crown for it, but broke the stem trying to change out the crowns. I need to get the right tools. But the crown screwed right on the tube perfectly.
  11. I am looking forward to the end result. I would like to build one of these, too. Good luck! Can't wait for the finished product!
  12. I'll tell you what, you can get a good look at a butcher's ass by sticking your head up there, but wouldn't you rather take his word for it? No, I mean you can take a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass, but then, no, its got to be your bull.... HAHAHA!
  13. Great looking datejust! Glad to hear of your good fortune!
  14. I found it at trustytime. It was around $240. There is a link in the dealers section. But most, if not all of the dealers that I checked out, had a pretty good selection of datejusts with many different dial and band combinations.
  15. Thank you, cougar! It took me about ten tries, but I finally got the iphone camera dialed in.
  16. Sorry it took me so long, but here is a quick pic of my DJ. In my opinion it is pretty dressy, but I still wear it with just about anything.
  17. The more I see these Tudor subs, the more I like them! Good work!
  18. I got an awesome datejust from Andrew at trustytime. I will post some pics in the morning if i can figure out how to do it.
  19. Over $1000 with three days left. I would just continue saving my money for a gen complete watch at that point. Unless someone gave me all the other parts to make it completely gen. Even then, I still don't think I could pull the trigger at that price.
