  1. Did anyone find out yet? I too would like to know.
  2. If this is the case, the Davidsen 111h WILL BE MY NEXT WATCH!
  3. GMT? Explorer? Vintage Daytona? Vintage Sub? Daytona?
  4. I would opt for a 40mm pam or a Rolex Explorer I. Nothing is sexier than a woman with a mid-full sized watch.
  5. Sending her off tomorrow for a re-lum and cannon fix (to vaccum). Can't wait to get her back.
  6. Correct, it's a gen. Your sig tag is the best, I can't stop looking!
  7. Ooooohhhhh, Pani sex. Can I have the first offspring?
  8. Right now this: And I know it'll be switched with this as some point.
  9. Here is today's installment. Better, but a LONG way to go.
  10. Why do they do the etched Coronet like that? On gens, you can't see it at to the naked eye. I think these would look more real if they left if off all together. $.02
  11. Okay, so I lied. A few more on yet ANOTHER strap.
  12. Each of the 'bars' that hold on the strap has two screws. You undo the screws (be careful, they are small and if you drop them - you won't likely find them) and pull out the bar. The bar is actually in three pieces (pulls apart from the middle). Put them through the new strap and rescrew in. I'll take pics tomorrow when I do my next strap change. Until then, here are a few more pics from today. Wrist shots: I'll get some better pics tomorrow. -WD
  13. Just to follow up, after one confiscation - the 2nd showed up. I'm a very happy camper! Thanks for all your help and I apologize for the misunderstanding!
  14. This was my first experience with a replica purchase. Ordered exactly one month ago today - it was a painful experience as a watch was lost to US Customs (package was damaged) and I am about the LEAST patient person around. Thank God I did the right thing in picking a GREAT DEALER as Joshua made it right. I've got two straps I'm ready to put on and take pictures of and another on the way. The stock strap is one of the weaker links with this watch - but overall I am tickled as the product is MUCH HIGHER QUALITY than I ever thought it would be, MUCH!! Only other issues I see right off the bat are: #1 - Lume, but we all knew that. The hands are okay, but the dial is weak. I will look to have that corrected down the road. #2 - Cannon pin is off, but not too bad. It takes a close look to see that. I'm sure that will be fixed down the road too. The only other thing I can think I might fix is the crown and crown tube as they may be prone to stripping. I'm very careful when winding down the crown and I think I'll be okay. Overall, I am astounded and shocked how good this rep is and how good reps can be. Downside is I know I'm 'F'ed because I already am itching to pull the trigger on either a 000, 005, 111, or 112. Also thinking of an F.A. Jones and a Railmaster. Uh-oh! Thanks to all for your help and thank you to JOSHUA as you kick ass! -WD Here are a few pics, sorry about the quality as I'm not great at photography and I took these literally minutes after unwrapping my new baby.
  15. Okay, I did search - so if this has been covered - I offer my apologies now. I want to start experimenting on an old watch or two that I have sitting around gathering dust. What tools would you recommend someone pick up that wants to do some work to their watches? I don't plan on waterproofing or regulating right now, just get in there and mess around a bit. Maybe change a crown, try to re-lume, etc. What is needed to pop off the back, take off the hands, change a dial, etc. What accessories are recommended (gloves, mat, etc.)? Any good books? I did find this, is this about all that is needed? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...29&hl=tools I'm lookin' for basics on a budget. Thanks for your input. -WD
  16. Did you happen to go with the sapphire or the synthetic sapphire? For $40, I was thinking synthetic for me.
  17. Wow! I was thinking about picking one up and you may have pushed me over the edge. Congrats and wear her in good health!
  18. GREAT PICS! I was sold on getting a 000, 005, or 111 next. The 112 is now likely the next one. Thanks for sharing!
  19. Get on a plane and go see what the Hell is going on. . .
  20. Cape Cods are nice, but check out Sunshine. Not as messy and I personally think they work better. http://www.manyhorses.com/store_polishingcloths.htm
  21. I've been in constant contact with my dealer, as I stated - responses have been very timely. My dealer discovered that the package was damaged and opened by U.S. Customs - a new watch was promptly shipped out. Now the waiting starts over. I have learned a very valuable lesson regarding picking dealers. I could have found this watch for a few bucks less elsewhere, but the level of service is worth the extra paid. I know there are many more reps coming my way and this dealer has EARNED my business for a good majority of them.
  22. Why is it a thread started by a username with "babe" in it gets more hits than one with "dude"??? Welcome!
