  1. Happens all the time here. And you're right: what the f*ck is the matter with people?!?
  2. I'm really diggin' these 2 pieces. It's been a long time since I've been really enthralled by something on my wrist. Here's a winning combo taken today... A classic and a classic: 2 rare birds together
  3. It was pretty shaky to say the least. A piece of an old wooden miniature japanese temple (family heirloom) fell from the top of a bookshelf. It did not break though. Frickin' cats just slept thru it with no shame in their game Cheers to all our SoCal earthquake riders... I hope everyone is fine & dandy.
  4. I got an extra set that you can have... PM sent. Cheers
  5. Thanks for the compliments For the StrapLuxe strap, I used the Rubber ROO's endlinks. They barely fit, but with lots of persistence, they did fit in the end. Oracle's endlinks are very well made and they fit with zero problems. Of course, the replica endlinks are a pain! No surprises there! The end results for both are that they fit like OEM: nice/tight/flush.
  6. It's a great watch. I recommend 2 things: get the carbon fiber strap from Oracle. It matches the dial perfectly. Also, get the steel bezel version, too! The rubber is delicate. It does peel very easily, so be careful. Cheers
  7. Rob, I send you my best regards--speedy recovery my friend! Cheers from Euno
  8. I finally got around to taking some pics of my a AP ROO watches. The carbon fiber strap is made by Oracle--the pattern on the strap matches the dial wonderfully. The croc strap is made by StrapLuxe--it makes the steel ROO look great in a formal setting. I HIGHLY recommend both straps as they are both supremely executed. -----------------------------
  9. My favorite fully modded 'swiss power' rep:
  10. Oh no, here we go again... STAY AWAY He will not hesitate to rip you off if he thinks he can get away with it. He is dishonest & not to be trusted. He's ripped off old members here, too. You have all been forewarned. BTW Flex, when you meet him in person, tell him that there's a few of us who'd like him to take a long walk on a short pier. Next time I'm in Japan...
  11. Seiko has been making watches/clocks for a very very long time--since approx. 1881. All the 'engineering' time-keeping devices in Japan were (and many still are) Seiko designs. This includes maritime clocks, military watches, aviation clocks, weapons ordinance timers, railroad clocks, etc... Japan industrialized faster than any other country on earth--albeit later than most occidental countries due to Japan being isolated from the world until Admiral Perry broke down the wall. It is amazing to consider that Seikosha had a lot to do with this massive industrialization process. Japan proved it's full industrialized prowess with the defeat of Russia in 1905. It was the first time an Asian country defeated a Western country in war. Most of the Russo-Japanese maritime confrontations were timed & staged with Seikosha timing devices! I think that most people might know that the most accurate train system in the world (time-wise) is in Japan. There's literally no such thing as a late train. All railroad systems, to this day, are timed via Seiko devices. Train operators for the JR and public subway system Tokyo still utilize Seiko railroad pocket watches! Here's an interesting thought: what watch can you buy with a superb quality in-house movement for less than $100 these days?
  12. Slay, those very first PAM straps really did suck!
  13. I got my Strapluxe black/white stitch strap today, it is very very nice. I suspect that I will have to buy the all-black croc next.
  14. From what I recall, I've got all the parts, too, laying around in my garage. This thread reminds me that I should get rid of all these parts/kits--I'd forgotten about it all. I do know that I've got an extra 6263, complete but unassembled, that I might be tempted to pass on to someone who'll actually wear the tiny little thing. I've got another one, too, in my safe, but I suspect that I should keep at least one (despite never wearing it). Cheers
  15. I like the look of the forum, but I also do not like the "Replica Watch Group" heading. An acronym heading would be more tasteful & suitable.
  16. Wow Freddy333, I always knew that we had similar tastes, but now it has been confirmed! Cheers
  17. I'm almost ashamed to say that I've got a lot of watches. And most of them are genuine. I rotate often, perhaps every 3 days or so. I am fickle, the love affair ends quickly with me. And, well, I'm easily sprung, too! I fall in love all over again & again...
