  1. Lovely clear day here... It was time to slap on one of the most perfect objects ever designed. Here she is - total perfection!
  2. I want it I want it I want it
  3. Blancpain 50 Fathoms Breguet Type XX Areonavale + Transatlantique <----- Please use the Lemania/Seagull mov't for better spacing instead of 7750. IWC Big Pilot IWC Mark XVI
  4. Gorgeous. Overpriced (but we live in a relativistic world). This exact piece is only for Caliber 1030 #6542. Not all 6542 had these wheels from the factory, some had regular black font #'s. True fact. I mention this to dispel rumors. On a related side note: It is shocking how much 6542 and Pointed Guard 1675 have shot up in price recently. Same for 5513. Glad I have a several OEM pieces rotting away in my safe/bank deposit box Cheers
  5. Happy New Years to u & yours, bro As of late, I'm flying high with a slew of new oldies to restore and enjoy...
  6. Mine looks OEM. No regrets, just pure unadulterated pleasure each time I look at her.
  7. Nice watch... A classic. You've reminded me to pull out the 009 out of my safe. Cheers
  8. Very interesting watch. Too bad I would never wear gold.
  9. The Mark Series have always been hugely popular in Asia. The zen-like simplicity is the allure. The dial was, without a doubt, designed with using the Golden Section. These dials have some sort of weird magnetism or draw. They are perfectly balanced. It is actually odd and strangely compelling. Own one and you will see what I mean. The Mark XV is a perfect watch in every way. I know of no other watch that is perfect like this. The MK XVI, although different, is build upon the same base as the other MK Series. It is a nice 'young son', of MK XV so to speak. And I do believe it is a hot seller since the XVI is flying off the shelves at various ADs I've visited around the world. Remember this: the Mark Series have a devoted and dedicated worldwide following. They have ever since the caliber 89-powered Mark XI M.O.D. Type 48 (made to 6B/346 spec) was made! Bring on the Mark XVI!!!!!
  10. Just a thought... Isn't it weird to wear a watch like that without owning the car? Breitling for Bentley, Mr. Shelby for Anonimo, AMG for IWC etc... They are nice watches though, but nowhere near as nice as even the entry-grade poor man's Ferrari Dino.
  11. Great idea, thought about it myself. I hope Angus has some empathy for us! Cheers
  12. Here's what my weekend looks like. Of course, these beauties might get swapped for other darlings at any point throughout the weekend!
  13. It's crazy, we've been begging to have this one made for a long while now. And nobody seems to give a sh
  14. Would be nice if they did make this though. I'd buy one.
  15. Don't worry, that's a good movement in there. Nickel or brass, they are all "chinese" ETA movements (no matter what the seller says). +/- 7 seconds per 24 hours is excellent time-keeping for a mechanical movement. You have made a nice choice with the MK Series as your first rep. Perhaps you'd like to explore the option of slapping on a high quality strap. Essentially, it does not matter that you got the wrong strap with the rep. All rep straps are crap anyhow. You will always need to get a new strap. PS. I love the Mark series!
  16. Yeah, I agree... Who needs the date!!!! Sorry, no rep here, only genuine.
  17. Wow, navy blue is uncommon and lovely - please post a pic of your E38! Cheers
  18. What about a damn Mark XVI?!!!?
  19. I agree with Avitt... If you've got the wheels off, you might as well as change the lower & upper control arms, the sway bar links and the tie rods as well. Just make sure to preload the upper & lower arms before fully torqing them down or the bushings will shred (just drop the car's weight down on a jackstand, then torq down tight). You will need an alignment afterwards. Use this link as a reference for parts: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do Order parts from www.Autohausaz.com or elsewhere for good pricing. If you don't want to rebuild the front end, replacing the shocks/struts/springs is fairly easy and straighforward. Just be very careful with the spring compressor. Should take an 1-3 hours to do depending on your tools and skills. I do most of the work on my E31, but I am lucky to be able to use my friend's shop & tools. If you don't do your own work, by all means find a nice mechanic that will allow you to bring in your own parts purchased from the web. You will save tons of $$$ and you will find it quite easy to maintain and even upgrade your 7-Series. BTW, you have a lovely car... I miss my old 750. Cheers
