  1. Ubi, I just scooped one up to try it out--can't wait for it to arrive. I went for black (of course). I also went for the rubber since it might fit my 6.85" wrist a little better??? Cheers from your ol' pal
  2. I'm considering buying this watch again, but this time with the bracelet. I must've missed something the 1st time 'round. This rep game is utter madness.
  3. Thanks for sharing this link. Very special. Cheers
  4. Interesting side by side action. I love my fully-modded 3717!
  5. Can you please post pics here when you get the watch? I fell in love with it at one of my ADs and I'm trying to decide whether to jump on it or wait for more saved money for another OEM watch. Cheers
  6. Damn, you have just reminded me of the good ol' days... One of my local watch supply firms used to have a plethora of OEM bezel inserts that cost $25 at the time. I stocked up on many parts back in the day for my OEM Rolex watches. I wish that I had bought more items. I'll never forget when they told me that they no longer carry any OEM Rolex parts anymore I also don't own any MBW's nowadays. I kinda miss my 1665 despite never ever wearing it. Owning a genuine 5513 negated the concept of owning a 1665 rep for me. A great member here on RWG owns this 1665 now. It was a lovely watch. Anyhow, excuse my slightly off topic ramblings. My point is: the good ol' days are done! Cheers
  7. I know the answer(s) PS. It's nice to see u guys
  8. I am not posting any other vintage watch aside from Rolex here as I have over 40 vintage babies I only have 1 Rollie rep now, the rest of them are genuine.
  9. Only my opinion, but 'tis best to buck up & save to purchase the real thing. 1675 is so damn perfect that only by owning the real thing can one do it justice. Plus it's really heating up on the collector's market (which I have been saying for a long time). You will always have to deal with the improper BPH, too, unless you slap in a 1575 (which is getting ridiculously expensive nowadays). Now if there are accessible 1655 OEM parts, that's a different story. Again, just my opinion. PS. I LOVE my 1675!
  10. I've been waiting for this one to come out. This is one of my favorites. I hope someone has one for me Cheers
  11. Nice watch, the bezel color could be a little better. And I wish that it was sized 1:1 but the rep is smaller then OEM. I bought a genuine rubber strap but it's too big for the rep. Here's mine:
  12. ...And a lovely fantasy it is! I'll be picking one up. Cheers
  13. Come on guys, it's fake. Look at all the other stuff he's selling. I'm getting tired of these chinese eBay sellers hawking supposedly genuine vintage Rolex items.
  14. I'm hoping that these will be offered. But I am afraid that simple things are the hardest to redo. Such has been the lesson thus far with IWC items. To this day, there still is no Mark XV that is perfect. Wow. Now I'm getting pessimistic.
  15. Wow Scoobs, thanks for posting the dial comparison pics. I'm glad that I got my 3717 from EL right when the 3717 came out.
  16. Beautiful watch--one of the best out there. I wear my fully modded 3717 (DWs, Superluminova, Swiss 7750...) essentially daily. I'm curious as to why you lumed the numbers. One of the things I like about the 3717 is that it remains an ode to the 4-corner lume markers of the Mark Series.
  17. You're right. I did go crazy at the store. I've bought quite a few genuine beasts there over the years. The thought of coming home with a true Portuguese made me go nuts.
  18. I think 45mm. It does not look like a clock on the wrist, it fits very well (even if you don't like big watches). I tried it on and thought about selling some vintage Rolex for this baby.
  19. I went to an AD the other day and I saw this one in person, WOW! Are there any reps yet? My favorite of all time, the lovely IWC Portuguese #5445 I saw this one, too! Classic Aqua brought back to life! Gotta have it! Another classic that I must own! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope these are available soon!
  20. Here's my favorite--nice gift from a generous pal!
  21. OEM Superdome > OEM Flat Tropic > Clark The different refraction of the Clark is a no-go for me. If u want a beater, then get OEM flat tropic. My Rolex sports models are genuine (aside from 6265 x2) and they are not beaters and never go near water. I only use OEM Tropics. Cheers
  22. It's a pain in the asss. Forget the bracelet. You will not be able to get it back on anyhow. Too bad though since the bracelet is lovely.
