  1. Corgi, c'est rien, I didn't wipe the crystal before taking the pics
  2. Well guys, here we go! Got it this morning and wore it all day... I even managed to snap a few pics! First off, how about a family shot? We all have been waiting for this watch for a long time. The wait is finally over. The watch is here and it's sure to make folks quite happy. Angus worked hard to make sure that his batch is a good one. And it shows. This watch looks very good to me. Read on as to why: The markers are all perfectly aligned and the hands/markers all have evenly applied luminous material. Impressive. The uni-directional inner bezel clicks in exact 1 second increments. And it is aligned perfectly. The movement sets, resets & winds smoothly. The rotor spins freely and with no noise. As luck would have it, the movement thus far appears to not need any timing adjustments, it remains highly accurate thus far. Even the Day & Date wheel are perfectly aligned. Luck of the draw perhaps. The Aquatimer font actually looks quite good relative to my 3717's genuine ETA Day/Date Wheels. I don't think that I will be swapping out the Aquatimer Day/Date Wheels for genuine ones. The crystal has a gentle sweeping dome, much like the GST chronos. And the AR is there, but it is not extreme crazy blue super double AR. It looks real nice to me, the dial pops! The TRL is, well, have a look yourself. It's truly superb! The rubber strap is great! It does not attract lint & dust like the prototype(s) did. The strap is pliable yet thick and, as such, it is very made. I appreciate the little 'notches' on the underside that keep the rubber strap keepers in place so as to not go 'up & down' and thus lose retention of the strap end. I know this is an OEM IWC trait as evidenced by my OEM 3738 Rubber Strap. After wearing the watch for most of the day, I can safely say that it is very comfortable and fits my 6.8" wrist very nicely. It has nice heft and a lovely contoured shape that fits my wrist quite nicely. Overall, it is a must have for the sports watch addict & also for the IWC aficionado. It looks and feels like OEM. And yes, I have tried on the real deal. Twice Almost bought one, but glad I got the rep instead! I look forward to reading other reviews. I got mine from Angus who is always a pleasure to deal with. I am most pleased with this particular watch that he chose for me. It is in my estimable opinion, quite perfect. Take a good look at the pics... I tried to take pics with different light sources so that y'all can get an idea of what she looks like under differing conditions.
  3. I got it today! You can read my review here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=60598
  4. I have not worn this watch in a while. She looked lonely in the safe, so I slapped her on...
  5. Lanikai did take one for the team - thanks, man! My watch is clearing customs and may arrive today (but most likely tomorrow). I will take many detailed pics and offer my initial impression(s). Am I correct in assuming that these items emanate from the same birthplace? Cryptic, I know, but I'm wondering if this is the case. And I think y'all catch my drift. If there are multiple wombs, could QC differences be a possibility? We shall find out. Stay tuned.
  6. I got word that something shipped from Angus. I think I know what it is, since I did not order anything else
  7. V, that's a nice looking strap! I wear mine on either a 21mm genuine black croc or my 21mm HKTan pilot strap. You've got to wear it on 21mm, not 20mm or 22mm!
  8. Since I've had lots of 1675 interaction lately, I thought I'd slap on an old friend. New quick pics, too!
  9. Makes me wanna swap the black insert for pepsi.
  10. Gulf War Issue Steel Navigator modded with Benrus Type I dial+hands...
  11. The DW movement will last you 2 days before it dies. And when it goes to heaven, NOBODY can bring her back to life.
  12. Really? That's interesting news to me. Oh well.
  13. You are not alone in your madness. Cheers
  14. There are lots of people waiting. Some have been waiting for over 5000 years for the 'grand appearance'.
  15. One of the best things about the 1675 is indeed the amazing profile. The watch fits like no other Rolex on the wrist. It is thin and elegant; somewhat defying the archaetypal sports watch stance. But somehow the overall balance & weight makes it sit on the wrist like a 'perfect' tool watch. It is equally at home at 38,000Ft, snorkeling in the Turks & Caicos or at the Opera. The stretch Rivit is the world's worst design. It must've been created by hairless effeminite swiss gnomes.
  16. It goes to show you that good taste always seems to run in smaller circles. What I mean is that anybody can go out and buy a Rolex - because they have been 'told' to. But very few go out and buy a Blancpain, Glas
  17. The watch Tom "alien galactic anti-Xenu" Cruise wore was a PVD Orfina Porsche Design 7750 Chrono. Standard issue for most real pilots at the time.
  18. There's lots of funny things I can say about how our friends across the pond say certain things And I know that an old timer from the old world could say the same about us... But last time I checked, Aluminium was not on the Periodic Table, just Ai (aluminum).
