That looks to be a 14270 with its non SEL, not certain that model should have rehaut engraving. I've been eying this 114270 at puretime, looks to be one of the most accurate exp I out there. http://puretime.co/product/explorer-i-14270/ Actually just looked again, I think that the end links are SEL, just really bad so is a 114270. Check out the one at puretime, few bucks more and I think it is much better. The rehaut engraving on the 114270 came at the end of the model series, so without is more representative of the series IMHO. That and the 3, 6 & 9 should not have lume, white paint only.

Wow, been here a week and already stirring up stuff. Ressmelz, please spend time looking around, read up on the vast knowledge that is in our archives. You will find out that we are a truly friendly group of watch guys. we're also a tight knit group here, many guys have been here many years and have >10,000 post. So go over to the intro/rules/support section and read our rules, were also flame free. Just advice from one noob to another.

The full book is a hardback and is US $600 (€467)

It has high quality, detailed pics of every sub ever produced, so if you like subs and need a reference to build whatever model this is the bible. That and if you have a copy you can answer those out of he blue questions about some obscure reference model and look like the worlds best sub expert... Just saying...

I don't know, if only I could have been able to spend $600k on watches.... And then try to link it to my lack of sexual expirence as a kid.... Nope, still don't think my wife would go for it, but I did see a super rocking nice zebra skin NATO for my most expensive strap at $9,000....

Nice write up, everyone has been so negative about this version yet the naysayers did not even own the watch. I love mine, a white version. I couldn't live with the cyclops (was cooked more so in real life than I could tell in the QC pics) so I removed mine. That clasp is great on yours, I thought mine was good but yours is the best I've seen. I have a second bracelet and the clasp on that barely closes it is so crooked. Great watch wear it well!

Bump because I'd like a copy if its out there...

When I figured that trick out it was kind of like those speakers in The Itialan Job. Blew my pants off the results that it came back with. -

Also for those who get frustrated with the limits the search function on our forum has, try this trick. Type site:rwgforum.net into google followed by your search string and trust me you will pleased with the results. Can use phrases that our search won't reconize such as short words... -

So as far as I can tell the gmt wheel adds maybe 0.5mm (5.6 vs 5.1) to the 2836 movement. My question is this, would that make a difference in fitting the gmt modified movement into a case? I'm talking about the 3035 case from the vendor that will remain nameless. I know the 2836 will fit with a #2 spacer from raffletimes, just hopei g someone might know if the gmt mod would also fit. It is for a fantasy build project that I'm trying to be somewhat cost effective, and the 40mm exp II has hands, dial and hopefully a mvmt that I can use for the project.

Is that bezel assembly from the same anonymous vendor? I to am starting a quest on a 16800 inspired build, I have more of a fantasy model in mind however want to use their 3035 case as the base. I definitely will be studying up on all of the 16800 builds that have been documented on this forum.

Nice collection, GMTc looks kind of like an odd man out. Modern ceramic amongst all of the classics... Nice watches and thanks for sharing!

True, I just find it frustrating looking at some of the homages as they usually stir a desire to buy which is often met head-on by the lack of quality of craftsmanship. If only more of the homage brands allowed for customization of their watches then I might be more excited. Like a buffet, mix and match to get a watch that nobody else sells.
