looks pretty decent JMB. The lines are not from the printer jets saturating? The end result is pretty decent, considering that you only see it in areas that will be lumed. I like it. Maybe do a test print using a photo printer on high grade photo paper to see how it comes out and isolate the issue to a particular printer, or the image itself. This is great progress.

For lack of a good printer, I am willing to buy someone else's datewheel with open 6sand 9s to fit the ETA movement. This is to finish my 1665 project and have it be more legit. Or trade a movement or two for one with the correct datewheel

HAHA I hear you. Just trying to see if the print job would be easier with less objects to fill. I have a 26.5mm Comex dial no date that I may want to try this decal trick on for the Tudor dial. I got lucky and got a Rose sub dial to use in my 5514/Tudor fantasy build. I sent you PM regarding crystal retainers, but not sure if you got it.

You need a big crown, contact Athaya or Raffles-time. I have an 8mm on order from each to compare. I have a similar project, but using a new case as if the factory never stopped making this model.

Sorry, let me see, just create a template for the tudor wording and logo, then simply stick it on, there is no way to make these as rub on decals, but the idea is to use a sterile dial and just add to it, as opposed to trying to get the markers, indices and such.

After reading this thread, I want to know what everyone is doing for a more gen like retention ring and bezel arrangement. I have a Trevor 5514 case that looks very good and thus far has a functioning sealed HEV(cannot test for actual performance, but no leaks) and I want to stay away from the GS glue and retention ring that falls out issue. What is everyone doing for the setup? JMB, is there an alternative bezel/retention ring combo?

I'm in. Why not print just the black and paint the dial base white or lume white? I think there is something similar being done in a different post. That would simplify the printing process and less room for run-off. I think. Looks great. Maybe make the submariner less bold, or use a slightly different font?

The 39 was for the 1665. Looks like the t-19 will do for now. OFrei has different ID options and looks like the better deal. I am still looking for a gen-like bezel arrangement for the 1665
