Other than crazy glue, what would work to glue the dial feet back to a dial? Just curious as I had the feet break off in a dial I need to use.No use for glue as the date wheel is not a ring, but a wheel.

I put the spacer on, then the dial and with a toothpick add contact cement to the outer rim. Make sure it is even all around first. I am sure there are better techniques and procedures. The trick is ensuring proper alignment. If you want to use one of those dial dots to help you until the glue is set, it would not be a bad idea.

Definitely like it. I wonder what case(aftermarket) would work well for this build. I have a 5513 Polex case with correct crystal retainer, but was saving that for a 5512 build. I definitely like the Tudor dial here, and would love one of these to wear daily.

Who supplies the best hands(other than the factory)?
There is always a Paul Newman black leather cuff band to go with the 1016. I happen to like that combination myself

Looks good. Very good. The g10 strap I think suits it better than an oyster one.
Great watch and great collection Ubi. Thanks for sharing. Now, about those 1570 movements... Where are you sourcing from? They seem to be ridiculously expensive on fleabay. I would love to get my hands on a decently priced 1030(though you guys covered how non-practical these are for repair and parts) for the Tudor sub. The gen hands look great.

Looks just like a good thick french vanilla shake. Incredible match for sure.
I need to find a 702 or alike tube. Even a 700 for the Tudor 5514 weirdo I'm building.

Looks great Ubi. Wait, maybe I need to read this post line by line, is that patina natural on the dial and hands? This is EXACTLY what I'm building. One question though, does anyone have the part number for the crystal gaskets? both for retainer and crystal. I thought I saw those in a post but cannot find them
Great point for and of reference. Thanks for sharing man.

I'm looking for gaskets or gasket kits for the 1680 as well.
The epoxy trick is only good if you have the type of rep HEV that pushes into the watch. If you have the type that pull out of the case(like gen) then grease the oring, or if not present, use GS to slide the tube into the case and let it cure with the proper spring.
Did this in three cases and I can swim, and shower and everything else water related with the watches. No issues.

It seems the PT watches come with a stick on with open 6s and 9s. I wonder who is producing those. It would be awesome to source those. The fit and alignment is perfect.

i bought a pair of ETA hands from Yuki and still waiting on those. They seem to have that creamy color to them. I'm using those in the Tudor sub build. Not a bad price and should fit the bill. You can always do the coffee tric on the ones you have.
E
That is awesome. You can just paint the backside with flat black and call it good.
Of course, one can always get one of those fancy movements and slap that in. I think the acetate with back side painted flat black will not look bad and it will add a depth to the dial that the originals never had.
On a different topic, JMB, did you get my PM about the crystal retainer?
