  1. Question, how deep was the cut? I am concerned about the bezel being too close to the 703 crown. May be ok with the smaller 700. Thanks. E
  2. Yes indeed. They are having issues stocking these. I wish someone would just sell the bezel arrangement E
  3. Is there a source for the A7750 movements? Just need a movement for an empty case I sourced E
  4. No biggie. Just wanted to know if it was a decent swap. V72 search mode, level 2 ON. E
  5. Yup. I bought an old Sicura diver from a "lady" who even sent the watch in a new "pad" as padding. The watch was listed as working. I received it NOT WORKING. Returned the item with tracking. Still no refund, and no replies from the seller. Ebay defaulted on the seller because the tracking was not "accurate" whatever that means. it's a shame, eBay used to be a great source and a great resource. Not so much anymore. E
  6. HAHA.I kinda like the idea of an inexpensive Daytona with a good working movement. Sort of like the Florida version of a 1972 Jaguar with a small block V8 engine. Elegant, yet deadly. For the time being i will just get this thing going to where it looks and works as it should. E
  7. No problem, that is what this forum is all about. E
  8. @FxrAndy, Thanks for the PDF. I will try to look for that part number to see if I can find it locally. This is good information. E
  9. eBay is a joke lately. I had a sterile sub removed from a listing, because I used the word submariner milsub. This post is just ridiculous. Now(to play Devil's advocate), perhaps the seller does not know that it is a fake and this seller paid good cash for it, thus listing this as a gen, not a replica(bad one) E
  10. Akira, When I get the tube taps I will take pictures(Hopefully this weekend) I am working on installing similar parts to a case similar to yours, though your watch is way better looking. You can definitely do this if you're careful. Measure twice,or thrice, and cut once sort of speak. The crystal you can always do last. Make sure all sealing surfaces are cleaned and lubed where possible and install the crown and bracelet. You will be alright. E
  11. LOL Gotcha. I will look for that thread. Maybe I will tackel that in the spring, when my brain decides to flourish and come out of it's shell. I am still waiting on the dammed pushers. Got the o-ring for the caseback and it fits perfectly. Now the head is that much closer to being water tight. Is there anything I should be looking at as far as specs for modifying the case to make it look more gen like? Other than pictures of course. E
  12. Nice. The 2836 asian copy I have is exactly like that. Was ticking fine and then it stopped. Then the keyless stopped working. I was going to rebuild it, or use it for parts to fix the 2873 ETA. This may save its life. E
  13. Thanks highoeyazmuhudee. I will look out for those.I may need a barrel and some other parts for the 2846. E
  14. AWESOME! I may hit you up later for spares. At a fare price of course E
  15. HECK Yeah! I could not have done it with the computer repair screwdriver set I had. My wife was making fun of me last night after I yelled out a big YES!!!! Red, thanks man. I mean it. No if we could get this article on a Swiss 2846, 2873 and 2824 I will be able to get all of these non running movements I bought to go on their respective working spaces. E
  16. That's the one I was looking for. Thanks. I lost the link to it. Now,your movement here did not have a date wheel, this is why it doesn't have the date jumper setup. I messed that up in a practice asian eta. Trying to fix that so I can then tackelt the swiss ones. Thanks a million. E
  17. Thanks LHOOQ. I ordered the tap for the pushers and both the pushers and the crown are pressed in. The case doesn't look that bad when compared to other ones, and the engraving on the case back actually looks pretty good. I'm glad the movement is what I hoped it would be. Not too expensive and reliable. So far it runs a +1 minute/day, but I am sure it will get better. I may just use this daily until I get it just right. The crown almost looks like the 702 narrow 7mm diameter crown for the twin-lock tube. I am replacing it with a gen 703 I got from Red and will use the current crown in a trevor 5514 case to keep the Cgs looking good in that case. Do the Gen dials fit this lemania movement? Does anyone know? On a side note, is everyone ok after the earthquake? E
  18. Edwin, Your sig picture is AWESOME! haha. This thread is very helpful. E
  19. Does anyone have any information on this movement and what clamps size I should order to secure it to the case? ANY help has and is greatly appreciated. I polished the crystal and will skip getting a tropics one until all of the other parts have been looked at. E
  20. Fixed the issue with the 2783 with this post. Thanks everyone. E
  21. Wait, that is a T-39 crystal, right? Clrak's T-19 is the superdomed version and may not look bad on there either. I do love the T-39 E
  22. No worries man.I was able to get the 2783 going again based on this information. Are there any tutorials on the 2783:2824 movements? or clones? I could swear there is, but I cannot find it now. E
  23. This is the part that needs to be modified or replaced to achieve a two position non-date. There are small notches (for lack of a better term) that determine the set functions when you pull the stem. What you need to do is eliminate one of the stops. Here's a borrowed pic from stilty to illustrate: The one on the right is stock, whereas the one on the left is modified. ETA also sells this part with a two position notch as well. Do you have the part number Ubi? I may want to do this to a 2783 movement I have for the Tudor build. E
