Nice little post. Love the collage Eric. I couldn't agree more(sorry about the French customs issue, but it happens) The hobby is one of the key parts of any sub-culture. I have been in the Aircooled VW scene for years and have met great smart and super funny characters. This watch hobby, is definitely no different. If any major brand wants to justify high prices and a constant fight on this particular hobby, is only due to their lack of ingenuity and creative design. I can honestly say that I look at new watches and I am not impressed with the designs. The technology in fact has not changed much. I look at a new submariner and compare that to say the 6538 you recently posted, and hands down I would jump to the 6538s side. My guess is that the majority of us are romantic in a sense, as well as smart and creative and are lacking a market that appeals to us in a genuine way. Cheap is definitely not out the question either, but I like to call it being resourceful E

So no one has actually purchased this movement and all of this is speculation? The thought of a decent 3135 "clone" is not a bad one at all. Has anyone really seen/tested this movement? E

Ok, just because I love to beat a dead horse shamelessly. Where is everyone getting their m2.5 taps with the right .25 pitch? I cannot find them. The one I ordered was sent wrong and I really don't want to wait ten more days. I got a m2 not m2.5 with the wrong pitch(seller advertised wrong) Thanks in advance. E

It looks stamped/engraved in and then enough lume to fill. These things are looking awesome. I definitely want to build one using your dials. E

Alligoat, That's exactly it. The 9o'clock is seconds, 3 o'clock is 30 min and 6 o'clock follows hour hand. So far the movement has more than 48hrs power reserve and it's only gaining a minute a week. Got the rolex pushers and will install them this weekend. E

I caught this post late. I have a 6263 case with what definitely looks like a ST-19, with all subdials running. Any ideas? E

The Clarks T19 is nice, but a little wider on the OD than the Ofrei units. Keep that in mind. E
