  1. Same here, and the stem part of the crown is so corroded on most of these, that to take them apart makes them self implode. You end up with a pretty crown that cannot be used. E
  2. Stooopid question, what is the deal with the Cornino? Searched all over, and I can only find meaning(makes sense), but what is the history behind the cornino? E
  3. @Woof there are other for less That is for a different project for sho'! @Nanuq, Definitely. I have seen a few of the ones from "india" that are listed as gens, and are worse than rotted and useless. E
  4. We all learn around here for sure. Most of us look for the older style tube/crown for authenticity of a project, when looking at older models, but if you were to take it to a service center, they will slap in a modern crown and tube unless told otherwise. I cannot wait to find a decent 700 tube and crown for a project. Not better than new, but looks the part and it IS the part. E
  5. I'm sure the twinlock tube could be used, but I am not sure how water tight the seal will be. I guess if there was enough "crush" on the rubber o-ring with the top of the twin-lock it would be ok, but looking at the designs of the two tubes, there is a gap that's too large to just simply squeeze harder. The tubes that Yuki sells are for the "dot-less" 700 crowns I believe. E
  6. That's the twinlock crown. If Yuki has the 702, it will be good to know for sure. Ordering my 702 tube later tonight from marsupilami
  7. So what is the consensus when using the 702 tube? different tap size/pitch? E
  8. I definitely want to jump on one of the 7928s. Is there a PCG that looks more like a Cornino than a regular PCG? JMB, I sent you a PM E
  9. very very nice Chiman. Just caught the other post. E
  10. I got to this post late. So you're the one bidding on all of those gen clasps! lol The best way to do it is using the pin tool to resize the bracelets. Esslinger sells the pins/friction rivets if you ever want to install a new one(sometimes the metal gets tired) E
  11. That's what I'm talking about! E
  12. Real one mucho mula! If you get rid of this dial, let me know. I'm still trying to find a proper PN band like the one in that picture. E
  13. Looks really nice. Love those pushers also. E
  14. Great job for sure!! That is the dial I like for the T Subs. Well, one of them. JMB, I definitely want to have the case back done by you for that early Tudor. E
  15. Dutch, the one you have is not bad. How does it run? If you ever want to get rid of the dial, I'm collecting parts. Daytona vintages are definitely nice. E
  16. i still don't get WHY the 5514/Precomex case? I thought of that as a fantasy build, not a rep! lol For the value of the case for a precomex/5514 build and use the dial for something else, it's kinda ok. E
  17. Well, pricey if n a budget, but fair if you need something close to spec E
  18. Ok, so back to the original post, where does one get good quality rep or gen hands for a project? E
  19. Ubi, I have the same case for a Tudor potential build and wanted to know what mods you performed to make it all fit. Looks like the CGs were reshaped, but what else? E
