Feeling like a Seamaster today!

Best of luck with your purchase, but after spending a few minutes on their site, I'm very skeptical. Here's a pic from their site of an "Omega Co-Axial Deville Hour Vision Swiss watch" on SPECIAL for $649 with a "Genuine ETA 25 Jewels Swiss Automatic Movement". Beside it is a pic of my Omega Hour-Vision rep that I bought in Shanghai for $45. It's a cheap Asian movement (ST1632 I think), yet it looks remarkably similar to the Swissreplication watch. You be the judge!

FWIW, I got a 5512 from Josh today (BEST VINTAGE YET yada yada yada..) and found the bezel was way too loose. I put opposing bends in four quadrants, snapped it back together and it functions perfectly and feels great. Given that I'm not likely to ever use the bezel function, it'll probably stay happy for a long, long time.

IF you are assured that the movement you purchase is a real Swiss ETA, is it still recommended that these movements be serviced (i.e. cleaned and oiled) soon after purchase?

I've noticed that in some photos of watches with AR coating, there's a purple-blue hue to the crystal when reflected in the light at certain angles. I was wondering if that's an indication of a coated crystal? I recently received a Tag Carrera rep which, although it was not advertised as having AR coating, it also has this hue. Here's a pic - you can see a purplish glow on the left side of the dial. What do you think? Is that a coated crystal (or just an uber cheap one)?

I think I may see a pattern here.. all you guys complaining that his hobby has jumped the shark also happen to have the word 'staff' in your profiles. 'Staff' suggests a job.. and when it becomes your vocation rather than you avocation, something is lost. (Just sayin'.. please don't ban me or anything!)
