That's the way it's supposed to be, I'm not sure what pics you're looking at
Try typing rolex 16610 clasp and look at the pic results a bunch of them shows the angle where you can see the gap well
I truly believe that when he engraves it himself it's perfect, he has a pantograph in his place. He does his best to get blank cases for his customers but I think what happens is that every once in a while he gets pre engraved cases, that must be what freddy is referring to because again when he does the engravings they are perfect
Case: phong
Crystal: gen tropic 19 (affordable)
Insert: go gen used fat or mid font
Bezel: comes with phong case set or upgrade to gen
Lume dot comes with insert
Dial: I would go gen but Minh otherwise
Hands: Michael Young
I'll start you off and others can add!
Case set including bezel: phong
Insert: joeyb
Dial: ndt or Minh (imo)
Hands: Michael Young
Roulette date wheel? No clue
Gen movement is ideal for a phong case and dial from ndt or Minh with gen feet placement
I would use a gen crown and tropic crystal but you can use an aftermarket crystal if you prefer
With phong the trick is to buy what he does well, which would be the case sets, the dials/hands are not really his strong suit. It's not advisable to buy a complete watch from phong or his son imo
His pics are from the 80's lol! All kidding aside he's great not good, his work is impeccable when it comes to finishing and making bevels, I have had a few examples and still do. His new style is like factory fresh from rolex and his vintage style is subtle but well done. Just tell him very clearly what you need done and he'll do it.
Michael's hands are great (long ones in discussion were for 6200's) and he does have them available but I hear he is making a second series of these soon using his own dime that will be even better. For the crown gen or nothing for a Franken build, it's so obvious and because it's so big... Noticeable
