I have been looking to buy an all gold dress watch and I am having real difficulty because I do not want a watch that is too over the top. By too over the top I mean no gold bracelet and no watch that catches everybody's attention as soon as they see me. When ever we go out I accompany my wife and I prefer her to have the attention rather my watch. I have a rose gold IWC St Exupery but do not see it as a dress watch. I want a true gold dress watch. I have owned a gold BCE chrono and sold it as it was way too flashy and I rarely took it out of the cae.. I also had a rose gold Ferrari and sold it for the same reason. So here is where I am at. I do not like any of the Patek reps but am open to anything else as long is it is a gold strap watch. I am open to any movement type, and any case shape but would prefer a watch 38mm or larger if the case is a round one. Also, either yellow gold or rose gold are fine. That is it for my criteria. Please offer me some opinions......thanks always.

Wearing my new (new to me) Franken Datejust made for me by Neckyzips. Thank you Joe you did a great job on this. I am loving it and have just purchased a sapphire crystal to upgrade from the acrylic. This will give it a newer look.

A friend of mine who is a father of three young children just got back from Afghanistan after finishing his tour over there with the Canadian forces and a friend of my 12 year old son will be seeing his dad off shortly when he begins his tour. Today is father's day and I just want to say God Bless all fathers who are serving their own country a long way from home and in harms way. From those of us who are free to live our lives in peace because of your sacrifice .... thank you and Happy Fathers Day.

My modded Sub LV purchased from Ajoesmith ... I shaved the crown guards, purchased a new bezel insert with a more accurate color then shaved it down. That has made the crystal appear appear much higher and the insert snapped into the bezel without the need to glue it. The edge of the bezel sits higher than the insert now. I replaced the pearl with a better one. This watch has had some very rough wear having been worn while playing paintball and dirt biking with my son and it has come out in great condition.

I have attempted this but the day and date were mis-alined a lot. I do not remember the movement that I tried the swap onto as it was a few years ago and I moved onto other mods.

Yes it can. I have inserted a couple of gen dials into reps. IMO rep dials were the weakest link in DJ reps in the past. Today the rep DJ dials are vastly improved even over just a year ago. The new DJ2 dials are great. I cut the feet off the gen dial and then glued it to the metal movement ring. The cheap Asian movements have a plastic movement ring so I never attempted a dial swap on any of those. The result of the change was dramatic as the gen dial upped the appearance of the rep significantly. This is an easy mod for a semi experienced rep owner. Good luck with it and show us the results.

Never would have noticed the hour hand size had you not pointed out. Our mind works to delete details unless we are specifically looking for detail. I imagine all non-wis will never notice it either as they will not know what to look for. I am a DJ fiend and have two gens and a few reps and one Franken on the way to me so your post was great to see. That is a beauty. Enjoy it and wear it proudly because that is one great watch. for your new Franken.!

After I received my BK WM9 YM and placed my order for the BK WM9 TT SUB I focused on what is next. This is the rep I have been wanting to see made also. Every day I check to the boards hoping to read a thread that says one of the rep sellers has the BP 50 Fathoms rep and every day I am disappointed.

Given the European Union's strict enforcement of ant-counter fitting laws I do not think you have chosen the best line of business to start up. It is better suited to a jurisdiction that puts little to no effort into enforcement and interdiction (read China). This is unless you have criminal proclivities by nature and accept seizure of your goods and finances along with fines and civil litigation by legit watch makers as just a cost of doing business. Somehow, after reading your post I do not imagine you as a hardcore black market profiteer. Rather, you come across as merely a dabbler who is prime to be made an example of by some big expensively lawyered up litigant such as Cartier who take a highly aggressive approach toward the end protecting their brand from the replica business. These litigants like nothing more than taking on an easy mark to make an example of to deter others like your self from taking a turn at the business.They have taken eBay to court over the matter of fakes being sold on its site already and I believe that your pockets are not anywhere as near as deep as eBay's are. There is a reason that the rep factories flourish in China and not the EU. Now, if this is just an intellectual exercise ... then excuse the interruption.

That is a classic collection ... all those watches represent what is great about this hobby ... classic styled watches at an affordable price ... I hope you can stick around for a long time. Cheers and two thumbs up for that collection you have ..
