  2. Thanks for posting ... been laughing for the past 15 minutes.
  3. So you've been hiding for a year now eh.? Well....welcome to the best forum around. .... I see you have a few gems in your collection ... I especially like that panda Daytona you have. Do stick around and contribute your knowledge to the collective wisdom here and in so doing make this an even better watch place.
  4. Missed you.... welcome back....and good to hear you got a good back now.
  5. Welcome to the forum.....stay and contribute what you can and we will share what we have.... cheers
  6. A warm welcome to you from Winnipeg. Hope you stick around and contribute to the best watch forum on the web. We have a great membership from around the world that gives us a broad perspective.
  7. I agree with the Woodford Reserve Bourbon recommendation. This Bourbon is a better starting place if you are new to whiskey than Scotch is. Woodford Reserve Bourbon is a smooth sipping Whiskey. If you are really new to drinking Whiskey, mixing it with water and having it on ice will is a good place to introduce yourself to the taste . Fifteen year Dalhwinnie is a great Scotch to start to acquire the taste. It is mild, smooth and without a heavy after taste. The reason it is so smooth is because it is double distilled. It is unique among the Single Malts. At the other end of the spectrum is a strong full flavored Scotch called Laphroig. You can save that for later on.
  8. Watch the sales posts and you will see some great older reps not being made and no longer available through regular channels.
  9. J B Weld Product description or some other metal epoxy that joins metal and holds it.
  10. Croc and Gator pretty much look good with most any watch head. In this case it takes the watch upscale and looks great. .......... ..............Two thumbs up..
  11. That is a beautiful re-design ... I would buy a rep of this
  12. Brilliant ... what an excellent idea .. Thanks
  13. Become a financial supporter of the forum and all secrets will be revealed Seriously, if people want to plumb the depths of knowledge here a contribution of some kind is proper and ensures that this forum will grow and remain viable. Financial contribution are not the only kind to consider, some members contribute by actively posting to share their knowledge and keep the forum active. Perhaps you will become a regular contributor to our little watch place. So to give you a start ... the cartel is made up of a few rep sellers who have a friendly relationship with each other. They have available to themselves certain reps that they sell to ready with cash buyers. Certain reps have become legendary, one of which is the noob. Personally, I subscribe to the WM9 line of Subs and the YM as being the best out of the box. I have made a few Franken Datejusts that could pass for gen. So to answer who has the best ... it always is a matter of personal opinion. Cheers edit for Spelling error corrections
  14. I am partial to the Dalwhinnie 15 year single malt scotch whiskey. Very smooth and gentile with tastes of vanila, honey and carmel flavours and in the end an intense smokey finish. This scotch is very smooth.
  15. Peace all .. very well done
  16. That is a big mother of a watch.! I like it with the blue stitch carbon fiber or the black alligator.
  17. Most of the recommended dealers on this site sell Breitling rep straps. A blue Breitling rep strap would look excellent on that watch.
  18. There is a lot of money to be made by different watch companies offering up a substitute for the ETA. I can see GP tooling up and offering something they have developed with this in mind. Demand for a good fairly priced automating movement with date complication will not go away just because ETA is no longer available. Also, some of the smaller watch companies could retain their market by using one of the Chinese clones as a base and breakingthem down and fully servicing and decorating them for use. This may turn out to be a blessing in disguise .... at least I hope it is...
