  1. ok and 5 months later, I just bought one off a member in RG. Can't wait!
  2. I have taken a screenshot of your reply and intend to show it to the owner of THAT rep RM with the soiled baby diaper colored straps.. you remember that one mate?
  3. guys lets not stir this anymore.. its not doing either MD2020 or anyone else any favors. Lets be rational about this, and not worsen the situation. There are 3 sides to every dispute: Your side, my side, and the truthful side. Give Mike his space, and if you have anything to say, you know his email or facebook account. Sensational stirring won't help at all.
  4. I have been researching on the series, and I would have to say a firm NO. The datewheel fonts are a dead giveaway, and being located in a prominent part of the dial, it is "a glance and you see its a rep" The skeleton dial may be a feature you could pull off superficially given the complication of details, but closer inspection and comparison would easily identify the watch as a rep. But my main gripe with the RM rep is still the datewheel font..do some research and it would be easily obvious to you. Hope this helps.
  5. Very nice franken, and you need gen hands to complete this. They are a bitch to source though.. I am still trying to source a set now
  6. Dear Diver Doug Welcome to RWG and welcome to the balls chopping board! ..just kidding I do not have enough expertise to answer your queries, but I am sure someone would. I just want to comment that your attitude is very welcome here, and I am sure you would get the corresponding response you are seeking. I just wish more newbies are like you, it would make the forum a much more pleasant place to be in... Kudos to you and keep it up. LK
  7. very lovely.. yes please share where you bought the strap?
  8. Thats a steal considering its AAA+ with Swiss ETA movement... I offer $3200! :D
  9. Josh is a good guy and I have bought a few times from him. SOP, and you are in good hands.
  10. thank you Pete.. you would be surprised (or maybe not) what the guy wearing this was saying with regards to the watch history Thanks for chiming in Cokesmurf..
  11. Thank you kindly.. it does look to be an interesting rep to me however. You know how Rm dials are like, skeleton and generally a lot of details. I kinda like the dial, rep or otherwise. It is just that I tried searching for info on this and could not find any, and looked to you guys for help. Thank you kindly for your expertise Mr Ubiquitous.
  12. Mike I tried looking but I could not find anything close. What intrigued me was that the subdial at 12 seems to be a calendar, something I did not see much on any reps.. usually its just a simple conventional datewheel with rotating numbers.
  13. Thanks kindly Storm Just to clarify, do you mean that the tourbillon wheel is just an "open heart movement" as opposed to a genuine tourbillon movement?
  14. LOL i could always count on you M for a valuable opinion You're spot on for the strap!
  15. Hi Can you guys help to identify the RM watch in the pic? I have spent some time researching on google but cannot seem to find a matching watch.. Is it a gen or rep please? Thank you
  16. hey buddy hows it going? VERY nice watch, but you might want to look at getting an OEM dial to go with the gen spec movement.. Is it me or is there a slight misalignment of the date wheel? LK
  17. Mike is a good guy. So are a lot of people who responded in this thread. SgtGuk, Mike on a bike, Panerai153 etc.. Its just a matter of crisis management. I have worked with him before, and I would vouch for his capability and integrity. Granted, he encountered a personal crisis and perhaps did not manage it as well as you guys, or even he himself expected. Sometimes, its whats happening inside that would tear a guy up, as opposed to the stuff he has to do. Let's give him a break, and perhaps what he could do for the community and his clientele is to give a definite period of "rest", so that a clear expectation is established. It would also give him a goal to work toward with regards to putting the affairs in order, or at least on a manageable track. Mike, my thoughts go out to you during this very difficult time. Please PM me if you need any help. A
  18. This is as genuine as a $2.50 note, Clinton's denials and Frodo's dunking ability.
  19. Welcome my fellow Singaporean member! You will enjoy your stay here and learn as I did. Its a great place to be, just don't mind member Mike on a Bike too much
  20. Our merlion is male. Ohhhh, you said POSSE, not...nevermind. my bad, my bad.
  21. Angus and Puretime are interchangeable on RWG. What the guys are telling you is that you posted a picture of a leopard in a lion thread. Similar but different.
  22. I was having a chat with Connie from King Watch last night, regarding an ROO sec@12 which I am thinking of buying, and she mentioned that the Noob factory will "soon be closed". For those of you in this game for a while, this is not the first time that this has been brought up. I was wondering if any of you guys heard the same, and for the Noob factory fans, it would mean a loss of a great rep maker should the rumor be true. At this point, I am taking the news with a pinch of salt, as with all things in the rep industry. Just sharing what was communicated to me.
  23. Marlin is a master of his craft and a pleasure to work with. Thank you very much for the enlightenment, I learned a lot from your postings.
  24. This has been addressed before, do a search. I know because I just searched for the same thing 2 days back. Without going into details, the present generation Hublot is very close to gen on the wrist.
