Lovely watch! may I know which version this is? I am looking for a 47mm submersible myself and the 187 comes to mind. But looking at your tuna can, it can be another option. Good luck, and wear her well.

Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 44mm / GEN
Legend replied to goodfella0406's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Yes I saw the A7750 26400 at Puretime.. that one looks to be rubbish. lol I am pretty certain the "ultimate" versions would come strutting in soon, maybe around christmas? -
Perhaps a video would best explain the interesting description of your predicament. I never heard of watch jumping on the wrists before, and yes, I do own a few rep AP ROO A7750 watches...

Its a pity about the rep skull tourbillon watch.. Its quite well made I must say, having seen it in person, but the only movement available now is a A21j. This is one of those watches that rep or not, it looks cool on its own. I would have bought it without the RM brand if it comes with a more reliable movement.

Its a Richard Mille Skull dial tourbillon (RM 052) And I am not surprised that you could not hear what he was saying. In his movies that I have watched, that happens a lot :D

Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 44mm / GEN
Legend replied to goodfella0406's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
This is the next generation ROO, slated to be repped and offered at a TD close to you soon, from what I hear through the grapevine. The bigger dial and more "refined" dial gives it a different character as compared to the current generation of ROO. I do prefer the bolder and more fancy dials of the current crop of ROOs, but hey, to each his own. Nice watches, and wear them well, y'all. -
Cartier Roadster SuperRep Franken Build - "Keeping it Classy"

lovely watch to come, and I am impressed with your patience and skills to put the parts together. -
Hello! It would seem to me that you are one of the longest standing member on RWG that I've come across! And 15 posts! Anyway, I have been looking at the same watch, and it would seem that the 4.1 inner bezel numbers come across as more accurate than the v5. The v5 seems too thick to me vs the gen. That was one thing I noticed off the bat, and owners of both versions would be able to chime in much more usefully.

Mike is a good organizer of gtgs. Next time extend the invite to us international folks. As the world gets smaller, travels would get more convenient. Whats a couple of hours (or maybe slightly more) on the plane?
-
Mike, with a wrist like yours and the bracelets you seem to favor, the watches would be too loose for the winder cushions would they not

you got PM from me T, still waiting for a reply.

I used to put my watches (both gen and rep) in a winder and keep them rotating all day and night. I know there are mixed views about this, but I no longer use a winder for them as I believe from research that it stresses the movement and increases wear on the parts of the watches. Now, they still stay in the winder, but with the power switched off. This is a debatable issue, and there are mixed opinions on this. Also, there are various settings for different movement types. For example, the ETA 2824 and the A7750 uses different rotation types. I forgot which direction/revolution speed to use, as it has been a while, but I know a lot of members here would be able to assist you. Sorry if my reply is not directly relevant to your question. A sincere apology if you feel different to what I mentioned.

Martijnp In your opinion, does your Hublot wear comfortably? To be honest, I have bought and sold a few BB, as I found the different versions to be uncomfortable, and even painful to wear. Also, for some of the straps, there are unsightly gaps between the wrist and the straps for me.. perhaps due to the size of my small wrists. (6") Nice watches btw, just that perhaps its not my destiny to wear them! LK

Relax, you have to deal with a lot of misinformation when ordering, and experience would let you know when not to be misled by well...misleading ad copies. The price of $278 seems fair for what you ordered for an ETA movement rep of the PO honestly. I am not an Omega guy, but others would be able to provide you more information regarding the relevance and fairness of the pricing you were quoted. I would however recommend a paypal friendly TD, or at least one that accepts credit cards, to allow you some channel of recourse should your deal fall through in any manner. If its just cash, then you do not have the benefit of assurance of any type if you are being scammed. Ask Trevor for a firm quote on the model and movement you want, and check with him if it is the "latest and greatest", or specify the features you want and check if they are present in that specific watch you ordered. When ordering your rep watch, your expectation must be managed accordingly. Understand and accept that there is no such thing as a 1:1 copy, and understand that there are good reps and bad reps, and that shipping, and the watch that finally reaches you, may vary in quality and health from its brethen in the same batch. Good luck, and yes, a little patience never hurt anyone when purchasing a rep!

Honestly, the concept of "super" when it applies to watch replication is relative. What is "super" and acceptable to me may not be so at all for you. The flaws I can live with may be unbearable for you. There is no definition and official score on replication accuracy. Ultimately, it goes back to this in my opinion: Are we able to carry off the watch we wear on the wrist, replica or not?

I stand corrected W.

Its a gen dial, based on the datewheel position. But it looks rather beat up.

Richard Mille RM011 - review and problems
Legend replied to patrick100's topic in General Discussion
Hey Pat and welcome to RWG! The RM 011 DOES look good as a watch, rep or not. It would look good on the wrist given the skeleton dial.. unless you have a gen one side by side, it is hard to compare the dial section by section and call it out as a rep based on that. The date font however is an instant tell and the main reason I have not purchased one to date. The RM, along with the older batches AP ROO sec@12 and Daytona sec@6, exhibits similar movement issues. You need to get it serviced and see how it runs after service. There are some modified A7750 movements that exhibit issues even after service and regulation, for some reason unknown to me. There are many modders on the forum, take your pick. -
I was very recently informed by 2 TDs, upon enquiry, that several ROO models are not available in stock anymore. Examples are the Juan Pablo Montoyas, T3, Shaq, and some other "regular" models.. One of the TD also said that there is a rumor that the factory is "winding up soon".. I am quite sure that is not an accurate piece of information, as its the Nth time that we have been told about this, down the years. But the supply of several ROO models remain scarce for me. Is anyone else facing the same issue, or are the TDs boycotting me? :D

Question: Are the updated Richard Mille versions worth buying?
