  1. Stunning Lani! A new acquisition? Anyway, your photo inspired me to put this on.
  2. SMP Chrono is actually 41mm without pushers. Ebel Discovery is 43mm but wears about 41. Not a big watch. These are two of my favorites...
  3. Well you just found one. Where to start? I don't know. You could click the link in my signature for starters (for example). Welcome to RWG.
  4. Good tip Pugs! Movements aren't actually very difficult to shoot at all.
  5. Those are good guides Freddy. I will link them to my modern Daytona FAQ.
  6. The current modern Daytona is visually fairly accurate. What's the point of upgrading something that has a POS movement? Redoing the seconds at '6 movement (and making it reliable) would be much better news.
  7. That's a beauty. Maybe the best LV's I've seen. Congrats! PS: WM9 and Euro are both possible to modify to superb condition... your watch proves it.
  8. New Swiss Carrera Check the price.
  9. For me, there's one above the "others". Coolest Rolex ever.
  10. I will never sell mine. What an amazing watch/rep.
  11. Thanks bk. Excellent comparison my friend. So at least the new WM9 and Euromariner do NOT use the same case. This puts the end to this "theory".
  12. Oh man... I didn't even notice this. Yeah, what a major bummer! Absolutely disastrous mistake once again. But then again what else is new...
  13. Looks too busy. I prefer the old, simpler version. Maybe this has a transparent glass caseback too (a'la Link Chrono)? Hmm... maybe not anyway, as Aquaracer is a diver chrono.
  14. Probably "plated", as the SELs are naked. The more expensive rep gold bracelets have them made out of one solid piece. There is a big difference in gold quality between the plated and wrapped ones. I've seen them all, and THIS was the best I've ever seen. Very solid, very good feel... and the gold on that version won't wear off. Maybe there's another version with "solid gold" SELs coming soon?
  15. Check it here: Ultimate GMT IIc 18K/SS This is definitely not my thing, but they have made a two-tone version of the "Ultimate" GMT. Too bad the SEL sides are "naked". Major bummer for people who were interested in this. The full gold version doesn't have naked sides, but it's a bit "rich". Full gold "Ultimate" Good replications anyway.
  16. Ebay is pretty much the only option. That's where our members have found them. Good luck!
  17. Exceptionally nice wrist check this time... so many lovely watches. I'm switching to this big boy for Sunday. Always a pleasure to wear this... I love my 'Racer.
  18. New members should realize that when dealers call something "ULTIMATE" or "SUPER" and put a high price tag on it... it proves NOTHING. I have nothing against Andrew, who has always been a solid dealer. But they're BUSINESSMEN. Their main goal here is to make money. Nothing wrong with that, it's business... but don't believe the hype in the dealer's websites, but read the watch reviews by the seasoned members, who have no reason to be unobjective. And high price tag doesn't automatically mean better rep. This case is a sad example.
  19. The number 1 flaw on this watch is the date/cyclops combo which is positioned WAY too right on the dial/crystal. I haven't seen that flaw on Subs in YEARS. This is a terrible Sub... there's absolutely nothing correct on that watch. Nothing. Newbies should do their homework properly, before purchasing. That's what this forum has always been about. Sometimes I wonder why we write all those articles and guides... there are Submariner reps available for $120 that run circles around this POS... and even with all the info available, some people are still willing to buy reps like this for $488.
  20. The rep dial on the black one is quite good (imho). I have one of those coming and I'm happy with the rep dial personally. I don't think swapping to gen dial is that important (on the black version). The white dial version is problematic because the "surroundings" of the rep hour markers are grey. That's a huge flaw, because they should be jet black. Thus... the gen dial exchange is essential to get a proper white version. The black one has silver surroundings on both gen and rep.
  21. Eurotimez sells the good version, but for some weird reason there are two batches of these Explorer II's, and the gen dial only fits to the old version. The problem is that these two versions are virtually indistinguishable from eachother. Dluddy has bad experiences. If you want a great ExpII rep, get the black one. PS: Sorry for the late reply. I missed this one.
  22. Going with Cats this Saturday. Ebel 1911 for me as well.
  23. Wow, beautiful pictures as usual Bazz. Good to see you back posting my friend!!!! And I agree, if I had to choose a vintage MBW, this would be my pick as well. Such a beauty.
