Truer words have never been spoken. I've always said the black one is the best ever otb Rolex rep, and trust me... I've seen them all. Absolute gem of a rep. It's a crime that it hasn't been more popular among the members. I should receive my black one soon... to keep this one some company.

That's a collection of great watches Robbie, congrats! I've always been happier with smaller collection too. I currently have only 9 watches, and I still find it difficult to give all of them regular wrist time.

Going to be a busy weekend. Starting the Friday with the WM9.

The function of gen GMT Master II seems to be something that people simply don't "get". Once again: on genuine Rolex GMT Master II, the GMT hand never jumps. In the position 2 the hour hand jumps in both ways (clockwise and anti clockwise), while the GMT hand stays immobile. Both GMT hand and hour+minute hands move smoothly in the hack position (pos 3). That's the normal time setting position. Changing to 2893-2 won't solve any of these problems. It's still a "wrong" hand stack, unless you change the order of the hands (12h hand and 24h hand). This for the Rolex. The "wrong" hand stack is correct for the Omega though. On the vintage Rolex GMT, 1675 and 16750 nor the hour hand or GMT hand are independently adjustable. The GMT function can only be used from the 24h rotating bezel. Technically that movement is even simpler than the ETA WHS. I've never owned a 2893-2. Does the GMT hand really jump on that movement... and not the hour hand? Weird, I think the Rolex way is much more logical when you're travelling through different timezones. Personally, I don't care about the hand stack at all... especially if you have to sacrifice the reliability that way.

And for good reason. It's still a great rep, and the only one from the "old school" that compares nicely against today's offerings. The Noob dial is sensationally good.

Dunno who moved them but I agree. Absolutely no need to move those posts anywhere from the Rolex section. They're in correct places in both sections, and it's the poster's choice where to put them (imho). I moved them back. The only "violation" is when people post Rolex/Omega/Breitling etc. -related posts and questions to General Discussion, in order to get bigger exposure for them. That's really annoying and I usually only move those. The brand-specific subforum thing is working really well (imho), and hats off to members for "adapting" to this system so well.

I agree. Euromariner has potential to become the "Best Sub". But it really requires to get the "rehaut thickness" correct. The rehaut (depth, angled & front appearances) are all perfect on the WM9. But then again, the upgraded WM9 with super luminova might "clean the table". Anyway, all these new Subs are very good... and in completely different level than the previous versions.

@freddy: Who is this mod? I have never moved a Rolex-related thread to "photography forum". Actually I wasn't even aware we have such forum. I have (mainly) moved only brand-related posts by newbies (who post them to General Discussion). Please post a link to the thread in question (the one that annoyed you, that got moved). Thanks. Don't you guys ever use the "view new posts" option? It shows all the new posts made in all different subforums... no new posts go unnoticed that way. I use it all the time... it's actully my "main browsing method".

They're nice pics. Not much is missing. Daylight is always a good choice. If you have a Photoshop you might want to try what clicking "autolevels" does. It might improve them. Keep 'em coming... practice makes perfect!

I play PES against my girlfriend. I let her play with Argentina or Brazil... while I'm playing with China or Saudi Arabia... I still win. Actually we haven't played this new one yet. Just tested it, and it's too early to say anything yet... except it's better than the 2008 version (which sucked). I have prefered the PES5 until now... let's see if the new one is a winner.

Call me weird, but I prefer the keyboard. I have a gamepad as well, but keyboard works for me. I use the keys QWER ASDF PS: Yes, I tested this one... it's already installed on my HD. Everything works perfectly, but it has been heavily compressed. So installing/decompressing takes more than an hour!!! These cracking groups use some kind of extreme compression system. I downloaded FIFA 09 too. If someone wants that I can paste the links here.

Looks really nice. But it looks like it could use some small crown guard shaping. The "insides" cover the crown a bit too much (as usual), but it'd be an easy fix. Congrats for the nice watch... looks great! PS: Is the gold solid all through the SELs... sides too?

There are no good reps of the modern no-date Sub. Just bad and even worse ones. Live with it.
