It's a (ultra rare) rep from Neil. I remember this one from the old RWG. Very nice looker.

Amazing watches. That Speedy is gorgeous, and the SMP lume is legendary. Thanks for sharing again mate.

Iyho, What's The Most Perfect Replica Available Today.

I think you have missed the "Ultimate" 45mm Planet Ocean. -
Indeed Euno... I never get tired of seeing those beautiful GMT's. But that military strap... hmm... I know Jubilee is the original GMT bracelet, but I'd put it on a Oyster. GMT is my favourite Rolex without a doubt.

I think it's Joshua's newest PO Chronograph. Looks really nice to me... the pearl and everything. Dunno if there's even "ultimate version" of the PO Chrono available...

To people who don't know: Demsey/nixon is one of the coolest guys of the community... and a good friend of mine. When I was a noob in the old RWG he was always friendly... and helped me to get started. For some strange reason (that I still don't understand) he refuses to register here. He's a bit of a cranky old man... and you know how stubborn they can be.... But here's his excellent review of the rep PO Chronograph (posted to TRC). It's actually the first decent and throughout review of this rep. I guarantee it's worth reading, I really like his writing style: http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...showtopic=27999 Thanks Dems!!!

I really liked the "reduced" Speedmaster rep, and it gave me appetite to buy the full size Moon Watch. I always thought the Moon Watch isn't for me until I had it on my wrist. For some reason pictures can't quite capture the feel of this watch. The 38mm diameter was just too small for me and I sold this. But I really, really liked it... and want to buy the full size version eventually.

It's 3:45 am here... just came from my company's christmas party... and wore this:

Ok... but you need to steal The Queen's Crown Jewels first... to get some source parts.

Yeah... the basic ETA movement is virtually bullet proof. I still wouldn't want to use a 7750-powered watch as a "Heavy Duty" beater. The case and bracelet are very good quality on the old Seamaster Pro rep. I'm surprised that even the clasp clicks (and opens and closes) perfectly... it's often the weak link on these Omega reps.

My brother got his Seamaster from Paul about the same time I got mine (a bit over year and a half ago). He has absolutely loved his watch and have used it as a daily beater. He has been wearing his watch also when he did construction job in our summer cottage, swam with it, everything... As you can see he's a bit rough on his watches. I said that I can polish and refinish his watch and he agreed. It really has some battlescars on the bracelet. I already aligned his bezel... and maybe some kind of polishing & rebrushing job is needed? He said he hasn't even noticed the scars. To be honest it looks perfectly ok on his wrist... the pics exaggerate the wear. The bezel has some scratches too... and the pearl is gone. But this rep runs in COSC standards after 18 months of rough wear, constant swimming, showering and borderline abuse. I guess these watches aren't that bad... And yes... I don't borrow my watches to him. PS: Sorry about the lousy quality of the shots. I didn't bother to construct my setup as this baby didn't inspire me to any glamor shots. But it certainly is "handsome", don't you think?

I often wear a watch for 1-2 days. But when I get a new watch I usually wear it for one or two weeks straight. But 2 days is usually my maximum for one watch... I'm restless and I have too many nice watches.

My dad has 2 gen Rolexes (third is coming). He just has extra cash to spend... and he could never wear a replica watch. It's his "high moral ground" or whatever... probably more a "generation gap" than anything. He was almost outraged when he saw my replica GMT Master. He called it a "perfect forgery". Actually he's cool about me wearing the reps... they fascinate him. We had a discussion about this and his argumentation was "Nobody would know, except yourself. Why lie to yourself?" I can perfectly understand his approach. Some people who collect fine art would never accept for a 1:1 copy, either. But I "don't feel I'm lying to myself"... I'm not buying reps to impress anyone... at least that's not the first reason... and watch is not the best thing to make impression to anyone (people rarely notice it). I just love all kinds of watches, especially Rolex, Omega, Breitling and other luxury brands... and for the 1/20 of the price the reps are good enough for me. It's nice to be able to own almost unlimited amount of great looking watches, instead of just 1 or 2. My current salary would permit me to buy a few gens... but just like Bill I wouldn't give $5K of my hard-earned money to Uncle Rollie. Reps are way more fascinating... and this community is the best online community I've been into. If I bought a gen Submariner who would care? Where's the excitement, the "forger's art" and the bargain? Maybe we all have a little bit of "criminal mindset"?
-
Nobody ever notices my watches. I buy the watches for my own enjoyement. It's useless to argue about the luxury brands. NONE of them offer good value for money... not even Omega anymore...they have raised the prices of their whole Seamaster line. If you want good value buy a Seiko. About Rolex... I can almost understand buying a genuine Sub, GMT or Daytona... but how can anyone be stupid enough to pay $4K for a new Rolex Explorer I? Even the rep doesn't sell well for $150... although it's almost 1:1.

The watch looks good to me... but the solid end links don't.

I use Photoshop for everything. I have used it for years (also professionally, when I did editorial work for a magazine). With pictures I usually just play with the hue/saturation and brightness/contrast settings. For people who have problem with their white balance: merely clicking the "Auto Levels" makes wonders. But when you get the lighting correct... and can eliminate noise and reflections from the pics (I often use reflector cards) there's not really much need for any dramatic changes. Most people could shoot great pics if they just had a good setup. Actually, you don't even need a lightbox. Shooting in pure daylight can give excellent results too. @Ubi: Thanks mate. Your pics have become excellent too.
-
Thanks guys!!! Just havin' fun with my new light setup. Yeah, I'm aware of that. That was the effect I was looking for... exaggerated colors for that shot. These are often taste things. Like this more (less saturation and contrast)? Or perhaps somewhere in the middle? Or maybe this? Oops...something went wrong there.
-
Dunno about that. But it's bigger than my PAM collection...that's for sure.
-
Now that's my man....you know what I like.
-
@linkukbora: Great gens... and very cool DRSD. @Ubi: Have a great holiday my friend!!!
-
I'll start the week with my SMP Chronograph... and fresh and new wristshot. Damn... it will be another boring day at the office!!! Last week's highlight was when I kicked the coffee machine! I want to retire before I turn 40.
-
Took these two pics during this weekend... hope you like them. PO again: Another Pepsi shot... Nooby:

Great pics Edge. Paris is a lovely town... been there. And welcome back mate!!!
-
Congrats Randy. That one is special. I'm really looking forward to your GMT Master project now.

@Triple: I'm not sure what's different with the current Seamaster reps, except the bracelet pin/screw issue. Someone mentioned something about the dial... but I already forgot what it was. Even the new ones look pretty good to me. Well anyway... I'm really glad I have one from the "old batch". It's probably the favourite watch in my collection.
