Fitting gen pearl into gen 16610 insert
the_rymeister replied to the_rymeister's topic in The Rolex Area
Have they stayed in when you have used epoxy? just don't wanna lose it, definatly think it's the cheaper option to buy insert without pearl, what sort of money do the pearls along sell for? I could sell mine if it's worth it? Cheers guys -

Fitting gen pearl into gen 16610 insert
the_rymeister replied to the_rymeister's topic in The Rolex Area
Cheers guys yeah I've got a pearl From my last insert which I snapped last week trying to fit into my new sub bezel Not sure if I should sell the gen pearl and buy an insert with pearl fitted or buy a gen insert without pearl and fit mine. -
Hi guys I'm looking at buying a gen insert for my new tc 16610 sub as I broke my recently bought gen insert trying to fit it. To try reduce the cost I'm looking at buying an insert without a pearl as I can't really afford another £100 for another insert and was wondering if anyone has fitted a pearl into the insert. I'm guessing they just push is there a risk of losing the pearl or it falling out? Any advise would be great. And yes I'm not going to be installing my new insert if I manage to get one. I will pay someone else to fit it Cheers Ryan

I love my 45 upo but now I have received my tc sub and other subs I think I now prefer a smaller watch, a sub is deffinatly the perfect sized watch in my opinion -

What do these reversing wheels do? Are these the ones numbered 1488 and 1530? and are these part of the barrell bridge? Sorry for the novice questions. Cheers Ry -
Hack problems and eta 2836 gmt movement help needed
the_rymeister replied to the_rymeister's topic in The Rolex Area
Thanks for the help and photos guys, just uploading the photos to my mac and I'll post them up shortly, I'll probably swap out the top section of the movement with both the wheels you referred to and I'll try setting keyless again, I've set them up do many times but must be doing something slightly wrong.its so frustrating because every time I test it before fitting back into case it all works, I must be dislodging refitting the stem . I'll post some pics up to show you . Cheers Ry -
Hack problems and eta 2836 gmt movement help needed
the_rymeister replied to the_rymeister's topic in The Rolex Area
Right guys I completely stripped the movement down last night and found the hack lever bent. Replaced it from one out of my 2824. I put the movement back together swapped all the keyless movement parts out of my 2824 which all looked Identical, put it all back together. The movement seems to work fine but when I push the crown back in just before tightening it to the tube if you turn the crown it spins the rotor? does anyone know what I have done wrong? Also the keyless works still plays up. One time it all works fine then another time you pull out the crown and nothing happens! As if it's not connected to anything. You then click in one and move date then suddenly the time setting position works again! Any help would be appreciated Cheers all -
Nice work mate

I had the same dilemma when I was trying to remove my tube from the cas, when I got to the point where the tube was crushed and there is no way out I used a small screw driver as I didn't have a chisel or punch small enough and knocked it out from the inside of the case, came straight out with about 2 swift taps with the hammer I got in the watch tool kit You've probably less likely to damage the case by knocking it out rather than using pliers
