Hi buddy if you buy a genuine bezel and insert which holds the pearl you can just remove rep bezel and click on genuine as far as I'm aware. Think its just the 45mm that you have to modify If you use the search box you should find several threads on this subject

Great write up hippo, this gives me memories of when I had my first upo 45 when I came to Rwg a year ago, I had the same problems as you, threads knackered on arrival and keyless issues, also removed my case back to find only 2 movement clamp screws Its definitely nerve racking removing the old tube, best mod I done was fitting a genuine omega crown and tube, feels so much nicer If you need any help buddy give me a shout. Great work mate

There's quite a few around at the moment m, I would reccomend any of the latest panerai reps ie 111,005 ect as they are all amazing out of the box, I'm sure some of the other guys will chime in with some other great choices. Good luck and have a great new year

Hi vandal I had the chrono from josh and with a few mods it can be an amazing rep, softening the bracelet improves hugely, and a gen bezel with the centred pearl, and I think sunny who had a batch of planet ocean double ar'd crystals which are amazing fitted may also have the crystals for this chrono .and a relume would finish this off Soooo tempted to get another, only sold to fund other projects
