  1. LOL That is funny. I am from about as far south as you can get and I actually have to go north to hear people talk like that. SO I guess generally speaking the "Bubba" Language is not directly related to the south.
  2. To give you a bit of insite the most correct version is the white one. Not sure about the gray with "Automatic" written in white with black subdials, things are pretty correct on this one but I have heard alot of people talk about the gray being the wrong color gray?? The version with "Automatic" written in red with black subdials. On the gen of this version the subdials should be the same color as the dial, not black. Really big let down as I was planning on getting the graphite with graphite sub dials and red writing.
  3. would it be too much to ask where you got it for $149? Nice pictures as well BTW, lume shot looks nice which is always a hard shot to get.

How many versions of the gen are there? This watch is very beautiful but the more I look into them the more I wonder how acurate they are. I noticed some gens look pretty dead on to the one you have. I don't think it is the writing under the date I think its that the date is more to the outside of the watch on the rep. All the gens I have seen the outer circle if you will seems to cut through where the middle of the first number would be on a date that has more than one number. I also see gens where the subdials are more to the middle of the watch so that the 3, 6, & 9 markers are turned longways. There are also two lume dots at 12 one on each side of the arrow head. Anyone know whats going on with all the different gen models?
  5. Well I wasn't even considering getting this watch, now that I see the lume the only way I would buy it if it was superlumed like the gen.
  6. Well if you think about it it really isn't all that bad. Some places don't give you anything except a pink slip so they can replace you with 2 younger guys that probably still don't equal up to your salary. What ever happened to "It's the thought that counts"
  7. edited out
  8. I see what you mean about the straight shot from hall to toilet. I know here the big rage is to put the toilet inside of its own little room somewhat like a stall with a door. The alternative to that would be to put up a partial height partition something along the lines of 4' or so and come out about 4' from the wall, that way you wouldn't be totaly enclosed but from most points inside the bathroom you wouldn't be seen. The water floor heater is a great idea for colder climates, for me though lets just say it is a nice sunny 70 deg outside where I am at so we really only use heat for about 2 months out of the year. I see what you mean about the hallways, I guess thats why it helps for the designer to sit down with the client and go over the details. The shower unit you picked out is nice, I have never actually seen one like that before. Looks somewhat futuristic. Just out of curiosity what is the cost on one of thoes things?
  9. SOunds like you are on the right track. Believe me a raw slab will always look small. My uncle built a house that has 10K sqft on the slab and it looked small when it was just poured, once the walls went up it is huge. Here is what I somewhat did to the drawings you put up. Main floor: Door from dinning to deck centered Wall and hall seperating stairs from den removed, this opens up the den alot, also no sense in hiding the stairs if you finish them right they will add alot to the look of the house. Master bath, moved the toilet to the far corner away from the door, you had ALOT of counter space there so I took some out and put a double bowl counter across from the toilet. You could also put a full height linen closet directly as you walk through the door for extra storage. All I saw was that you had a shower unit in there but I would center the window, make it a bit bigger and put a tub right there between the toilet and shower. I would do a built in whirlpool with a tile enclosure, possibly even a step. Guest Bathroom, I would put a corner vanity in, less space and very unique or possibly even a pedestal sink, I also added a pocket door in that location as it gives you more floor area in the bathroom not having to allow for the door swing. I didn't realize you wanted the hall by the bedrooms for seperation but you could always just put a wall and a door from the bathroom wall to the bedroom wall and move the master door over into the hall. The bedroom you had seemed a bit unusefull for anything other than a baby room. Single bed with what didn't seem like alot of room to adjust. I cut into your laundry room to facilitate a closet, moved the door around to a pretty much useless nich of the room. By adding the built in closet I got back the room you had what looked like a wardrobe hutch in. Den area, by getting rid of the hall it is really opened up and what you could classify as a "Great Room" I was also able to add a double entry door to the dinning which makes for a great presentation when you walk your guests inot there to eat. Plus Double entry doors will make the smallest of rooms look alot bigger. Ground Floor: You already took care of the garage/hall door so thats done. Since you are going to a single garage door I would remove the single passage door and center the garage door, possibly move the passage door to sidewall under the raised porch. I also shortened up the hall and made the movie room bigger which will allow for a bar. I rearanged the 3 disp. rooms and I think they would serve better this way plus the one to the rear now has what you would call a "nich" to put a computer desk, built in shelving etc. By straightening out the 10m2 disp. room it is less awkward and can be turned into a bedroom later on if need be. Hope you don't mind my input, and like I said earlier I think your design was very nice to begin with. I am just very anal about unused space that can be turned into very good living space. Hallways are becoming a thing of the past, here at least, because when you think about it it is in essence wasted space. I would very much like to see the new designs if you have them and could upload them.
  10. I am in the US so some of my terminology might differ from yours so bare with me. Have you gotten the final construction drawings drawn up by an architect yet? Your design is pretty nice; however I did notice a few things. I notice there is a considerable amount of space wasted being used for hallways and such. For example there is a hallway behind the den area on the main floor that appears to do nothing but separate the stairs from the den. There is also another hallway running perpendicular to that hallway that does nothing but allow access to the Master bedroom, Master bath, and a second bedroom. Just wondering but what is L shaped room behind the stairs? As for your disp. Rooms. Once the house is constructed the only thing you will be able to do to change the layout would be inside of the rooms themselves without messing up any adjacent finishes. I am not sure what you meant by leaving them with concrete floors and just a ceiling, but my suggestion would be to get the walls and ceilings in, finished and at least a prime coat of paint on them for the time being. It will save you money over paying someone to come back out later and do the work, it will also keep a lot of mess and dust out of your house once you are living in it. In the dinning room there is a double door to access the porch, I would slide that door opening into the middle of the wall, it will give it a much cleaner look than being all the way in the corner as well as leave you space to put a piece of furniture of some sort on each side of the door opening. In the garage I would put a door from the garage to the hall leading to the stairs. Right now you will have to walk out of the garage into the room listed “sport” to get to the stairs. If you put a door direct from the garage to the hall you could eliminate the extra door in the sport and straighten out the angle wall by the bathroom giving more space in the bathroom and eliminate the close proximity of the door and vanity top. In the Master bath, the toilet is right there when you open the door. I know it is your house but I would consider moving that to the far end. The kitchen could use a bit more natural light by way of a window on the other wall. Its your house but I am just giving you my honest opinion based on years of experience here in the states. I know we have a different style of building here so that probably is the big difference. I am not trying to criticize in any way I am sure the view alone would make that house worth it for me if it only had 1 room a toilet and a shower.
  11. + 1 here for the 16610 + 1 here for the 16610
  12. Might sound like an idiot here but what is a minute repeater?
  13. Every now and then mine gets "hung up" so to speak, where it feels like if you try to force the winder it will break. I give the watch a shake to spin the rotor and then it will wind smooth as glass. Not sure if it will work for you but its worth a try. Also I wind it with the watch vertical not flat.
  14. Might want to double check again, from what I have found a 22mm is the actual lug size on the 45mm PO so a 24 might be too big. I would wait for the watch then measure the lugs in person before ordering a strap. FYI the gen blac/orange strap is rubber which would probably be closer to this, scroll down to the silicone with colored stitching. http://www.globalwatchband.com/items.php?group=50 Here are the gen deployment buckles. http://www.ofrei.com/page573.html Or you can go here and get a rep deployment and strap for less and just use the deployment off of it. http://watchwindersworld.com/omega-straps-...s-c-58_141.html
  15. Was watching "Gridiron Gang" last night with the Rock. His charecter plays a juvinile detention guard. Well in one of the scenes he holds out his hand and low and behold what was on his wrist but a Panerai. COuldn't make out which one it was but considering his charecter was a prison guard I am going to have to assume that this was his personal watch. Just thought some of you Panerai lovers would like to know who is wearing them.
  16. They aren't even close. They have the general idea of the watch but compare the reps pics to the gens. Wrong color dial, stick markers are completely wrong, the black face gen is not a chrono and the lines across the face are alot different. The gen is highly polished almost chrome looking the rep is not near that. The list goes on.
  17. I don't know if this makes sense or not so I will throw it out there and see what some of you guys think. From what I am seeing this watch is exactly the same as the "Ultimate" with a cheaper movement and $110.00 cheaper. Now lets say that the hands are the same and will fith the ETA 2824-2. If the "cheaper" movement lasts a year, then you replace it with a 2824 that you can get for around $70.00 you would still come out better in the end. Even if the hands aren't the same, could'nt you always just put gen hands in when you replace the movement, if you even ever have to that is??
  18. Here is another http://www.globalwatchband.com/items.php?group=56
  19. I am going for the orange and am going to try and buy a black bezle for it as well. Then I can have the orange w/ orange numbers or switch it up and have the black bezzle and orange numbers.
  20. Ok so lets say one had no intention of putting the gen hands on the rep. Which would be the smart way to go. This is going to be my next purchase now I just have to decide on which movement would be better..you know the old pay now...pay later thing??
  21. So just how decent is the Aisa movement compared to the one in the "Ultimate"?? Is it worth paying the extra $110.00 for?
  22. Well I have just concquered the micro adjustment. I am so glad I found it too as I really needed it. I found the easy way to do it without loosing pieces and only using two hands. Push a paperclip through one side only and depress the springbar on that side. SLide that side out of the link slowly on an angle. Once a part of it was exposed I placed a razor over the springbar and slowly let off the tension. One side is captured by the tube but I unfortunately did not go for that side first. The plunger and spring came out but since I let off pressure slow they just fell infront of me on the desk. The re-install is the same I inserted the captured side first on an angle then used a razor to compress the other side while I slid it into the link, then it is just a matter of a few wiggles to get the pluger to fall into the hole.
  23. I have one of the Tag Link Chronos with the Aisa 7750 in it. I just got it yesterday and already it has stopped three times. The first time it stopped was yesterday about an hour after I got it. I did not wind it up when I got it as it was working when I opened the package. Winded it up and it started working like a charm. I never had a problem with it for the rest of the day. Last night I took it off when I went to sleep and when I woke up this morning at 9am I noticed the watch had stopped at about 8:05am. No biggie I wound it two or three times put it on and went about my buissiness. I noticed about 10am this morning that it had stopped again. I reset the time and wound it about 12-13 times and it has been going ever since. Is this normal?? Is there some form of a break in??? Also with winding how many times can you wind it? I noticed earlier I wound it and after the 12th or 13th wind it would just click like as if it wasn't supposed to be wound anymore??? This is my first go round with an A 7750 so forgive me if my questions are a bit noobish. on another note the next rep I plan on getting has a Swiss ETA 2824-2 in it. How good of a movement is this??
  24. This was my first rep. and I was a bit nervous about buying sight unseen. After alot of searching and debating I decided to go with the Tag Link Crono from Joshua. Ordered on 12/4 and recieved on 12/12, not a bad turn around at all from 1/2 way across the world. Needless to say the watch looks even better than the pictures could ever show it. I have seen a few write ups on this watch so no need to go into details here. Just wanted to thank Josh for his fast service and the great watch.
  25. Thanks ALOT... It appears that the package arived at my local post office this morning.....man I hope it made todays delivery. Now I will be sitting here all day looking out for my local postal worker.
