  1. Hmmm... Los Angeles.... 10 hours flight. 4 hours to find Red. 5 min to rob Red's Ingy. 20 min run for your life. 1 hour back to airport. 10 hours flight back. Goal: Be back to work on Sunday with the new Ingy. Yep, do-able...
  2. To be able to identify the reps, obviously. Because in all other aspects the reps are identical to gens, well accept for the price.
  3. Welcome. I started by reading this forum almost religiously and then asked as many questions as possible. Follow posts by vlydog and maxman, who are top, top experts. You'll be an expert yourself in no time
  4. Welcome to the best rep forum and a great community.
  5. Nice. Zigeister, one question: Except for the visual effect, does this mod improves functionality in any way?
  6. Sometimes [censored] happens. The dealer is not producing the watch, he/she only sales it. The QC is supposed to give a general, cosmetic idea about the watch, while timegrapher image gives you a vague clue about the watch's health. Read this: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/143915-faq-to-service-or-not-to-service-my-thoughts/ (and the how-to in my signature) - excellent views on the subject by forumites. From my experience, the rep game is a little like gambling but with very good odds, so it's good to be prepared for stuff like this. In any case, even if you repair the watch or have it serviced or whatever, it will still cost you only a fraction of the original. And trust me - the originals aren't problem free either.
  7. ^ the best car ever made. If something breaks you just unscrew that bolt, tighten another, stick a gum here and there and it runs for another 10 years.
  8. 2 days in Madrid... a dream. If you are going to see some art take one day for Riena and another one for Prado. Riena is smaller so on that day you will probably be able to see something else. Prado is a full day experience, though. I'd leave my evenings free, since Madrid has a pretty interesting evening life, but note that most of the places close relatively early. I'm don't know how's the night life in Norway, but I come from a place with great night life, where people start to arrive to pubs / clubs only at 10-11 PM and the street life is 24/7, so I was stunned by how early places close in Madrid. What I like most about Madrid is how majestic it is. When you are there you KNOW it's a Capital, like no other capital city I've been to. Oh, damn, what a city... I miss it.
  9. Thanks for the input. Not sure if I'll have it serviced, but after reading this I'll definitely open it up to check out the movement.
  10. I've seen a couple of threads here with people asking if timesshop was a scam site, due to slow service and their communication issues. I hear the site is trusted on RWI though, so all's good. But don't take my word for it, I'm not a member on RWI.
  11. I really should stop visiting the wristies and have my heart broken like this, seeing her in another man's arms....
  12. Have no idea if anyone here has it. You should note that this is a basic Asian movement and non-working chrono. The second hand actually sweeps, so it doesn't work like the gen watch. I have no idea about your budget, but personally I try to avoid these movements.
  13. Speechless. You have great skills, man, (that new lens of yours sure is helping). Amazing setup.
  14. I find it hard to believe you didn't find any info on Speedmaster here. Start here: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/426-by-tors-guide-to-best-omega-replicas/ ... and welcome to RWG!
  15. Oh, Madrid, my love... Riena Sofia is one of the best museums I've been to. A true architectural marvel. I've seen a Picasso exposition there a couple of years ago. Check out their library, if you love architecture you'll fall in love with this place. There is a cute little place just around the corner with pretty good paella. Great spot to have some snack and local beer after the museum. Campo del Moro with the Almudena Cathedral is high on my list as well. If you are visiting Prado, on the second floor go to the end of the corridor, than left till the end of that corridor. There on your left will be a side room. This is where they keep the really crazy sh!t Goya painted. Not the dull portraits they like to show, real psycho stuff, the Spaniards ashamed of, but are required to show. Retiro Park is nice but I wouldn't waste my time there. How much time do you have there?
  16. OMG! Litteraly! Dodging a bullet is an understatement of a millennium in this case. I can only imagine how nervous you were taking the next flight.... the real miracle is that we don't call you Reverend/Rabbi/Mufti Lovecraft today.
  17. ... and even more so in replica watches, since the factory QC is lacking and some basic rules and requirements, like clean assembly environment, are loosely followed. One should note that good timegraph results from the dealers are absolutely not a guarantee of a good movement. If the results are good, one can assume that the movement may be good. On the other hand bad results require your action - whether servicing your watch, if you are testing one from your collection or declining QC, if you have received the results from a dealer.
