  1. ^^^ Oh oh. Whoever posted that thread is very very unwise. What's the point in it? We know it's a damn 1:1, and trust me, it's much more easier to fool a WUS than RWGer. It's like sending Premier League player to girl's summer school league and applaud him for scoring 20 goals per match. Beyond that, it draws absolutely unnecessary attention to this forum and to vandal and his watch specifically. I just don't get this... If it's someone from here, trying to be smartass, come on man, take it down. We know it's good, We know it's as close to gen as it gets. What are you trying to prove?
  2. Now this one looks badass! Loose the tritium though, They may actually like the idea and we'll never get a rep like this. "Seriously" though - the tubes on the hands are less consistent with the omega style of hands. The arrows are very prominent in Omega's design. there's also a nice article on ablogtoread.com for inspiration http://www.ablogtore...ga-speedmaster/
  3. Thanks for your kind words, guys. I love this watch. I wear it almost 24/7 now and find it very comfortable. Jumped into a pool the other day wearing the watch by accident and it works perfectly, no water leaked in. I have sanded the clasp's edges a bit in order to preserve the strap. The damage done to the strap was easily "repaired" by a touch of olive oil.
  4. You guys know nothing about watches! It's a Golden Gyna Lurida. A famous trademark of Ie Shi Di watch company.
  5. I own one of those as well, I think it will be a huge hit in 2012. The AR has a blueish tint to it, which is a huge tell, otherwise looks good.
  6. A Genuine Clone! :clap2: Congratulations! Can't wait for his first wrist check !
  7. I'm pretty sure there is a black dial. but maybe the black is grey or vise versa? This a great read as well: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/75576-a-tale-of-two-nautilus/ Personally I wouldn't worry about the strap or the bracelet. I'm pretty sure that if you'd buy a gen black/grey, Patek would hook you with a bracelet if you really wanted it, right
  8. Louis CK moment right there... Have to agree - the photos are of the best seen on this site. It always amazes me how the quality of the lens (and the camera body, but especially the lens) transforms the photo. I agree with Time, the printing is just fine. Fits the gen printing. Just check out the Omega website. Also - not directly related to the orange PO but nevertheless: rep pearl, right? Wrong. This is directly from Omega site. Is it a conspiracy? Does Omage use reps for its site's photoshoots? Or is it simply that our reps just got that good? I believe the later.
  9. Black Nautilus - amazing watch and a great rep. I know a lot of people here like ROOs, personally I find them too brutal on wrist. The Nautilus has that masculine quality and elegance to it. I love that watch
  10. I tend to agree with cougar. Moreover if someone would ask me which one to buy, I'd say save your money and get the asian clone, have it serviced and you'd have a perfect watch for many years to come. But for me that warm "fock the system" feeling of "even my movement is swiss and I got the watch for 10% of it's price" is well worth the extra 80$-100$, but hey it's just me.
  11. WOW! One of the best looking watches ever made in my opinion. Gen dial I presume?! What movement?
  12. First of all, thanks for a great review. Shows just how great the orange PO is. Now on with the movement. I'd like to say that I'm almost 100% sure it is a Swiss ETA, it seems legit to me. I must say that it would be extremely difficult to know if this is really a true ETA without tearing the movement apart. The main difference between Swiss movement and Seagull or Hangzhou is in assembly and QC. The main focus being bridge alignment , the pallet bridge shape and pallet fork quality. That being said, by the way the ETA logo is engraved (it should have a burnt effect at the edges and should be sharp, because it's lazer engravement) , the shape of the balance wheel (as far as I can see from the images), the regulator and the cap jewel, I'd say it's a gen ETA. Alas this discussion emphasizes the most important guideline for every rep collector: First choose your dealer, then choose your watch. As a regular Joe it would be very hard for any of us to identify a gen ETA from pictures, without an up-close look on different movement parts. In light of the precision and the quality of the reps and rep movements, you have to trust your dealer to sell you the correct product. Sure, you need to check on him or her, but in this game it's hard to get by without some basic trust, from money transfer to the final product received.
  13. Thanks for sharing (for youtube you just paste the full link to the video, not the youtu.be one)
  14. Looks like a great watch box to me...
  15. Instant. They receive the money here, the other branch should be able to release the finds instantaneously.
  16. Looks amazing, vandal. Can't wait for your review!
  17. Because high-end watches have absolutely zero problems or faults
  18. Oh, man... Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the update. You will not have problems with Andrew. Very professional.
  19. Did he rob a Pan delivery truck?
  20. This is how I first came to knowing Hamsun, I was writing a paper on the decline of the National Socialist movement post war and came across his name, while reading Dietrich's memoirs. He was passionate about the Nazi regime and a racist in general. Something didn't add up about his late political views and this early anarchist leanings, so I had to read his books to try to understand him. Putting his political views aside he indeed was a true genius and his Nobel prize was well deserved. After turning the last page of his Growth of the Soil, I was literally speechless for a week. The book had a deep influence on me, personally. Thanks for your recommendation. Was Knausgard translated? EDIT: To stay on topic: Omega PO is great!
  21. I knew you'd find your way in, you sneaky b*stard!
  22. there is nothing like positive thinking, right Pho? Brightens your day and warms your heart with acceptance and compassion. LOL
  23. Thanks for the advise Freddy. I was also wondering what was the reason for it to change the date a bit earlier each day. My guess is that service will correct this issue, but what is the reason for this behavior? Is it something minor or a symptom of a bigger problem?
