Have to disagree with my friend cougar here. IMHO the strap is well worth it. It's definitely the best oob strap I own. Extremely comfortable

All I can say about this: Andy, wow, man! :notworthy:

I just bought my first rep and wasn't used to the whole idea of reps. One day, as I was roaming between meetings I stopped by a local Omega AD to have a look at some of the Omega offerings and, you know, to have some fun. Unfortunately I totally forgot about wearing my rep IWC Spitfire. As I approached the counter I suddenly realized that I was wearing the watch, but what could I do? So while looking at some PO's I took the my watch off, and the shop owner instantly recognized it. She said "they just never make those IWC dials right, do they? but I love the job they've done on the case". I was a bit surprised, not because she bluntly called me out, but by her keen eye. I said "yeah, wish I could find a cheap dial to install" or something along the lines. "So you've got the bug too", she laughed and we went on talking about reps gens etc. Really cool lady and funny as hell. As it appeared she was quite a watch expert and rep collector with over 80 watches in her watchbox (all men's watches, btw). A couple of weeks later I stopped by and she showed me part of her collection: from cheap datejusts to really high end 1:1's. It was like GTG at Christmas on steroids. We are still in touch, but I learnt my lesson: never visit AD with a rep.

No. It's not Josh's site. -
Freakishly awesome watch, red. (I have a soft spot for G-Shocks. When I was in military my g-shock stopped a shrapnel from cutting off my arm... long story, anyway, G-Shocks rock!)

Nice! Makes me want one as well. Great strap.

Speaking of remixes (sort of... well maybe not... LOL... anyway...) this is one of my all time favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hssb3Do42w Also, if you have kids you'll not be able to stay indifferent to the video. -

Absolutely loved it! -
Probably the hand is too close to the hour hand and a bit loose, so when it passed over, probably at the point that all hands were aligned, the minute hand got twisted. Nevertheless, definitely a WTF moment

This reminds of a cool remix of Kasmir made sometimes in the 90's (i think) featuring Page and some rapper dude, who's name I can't recall. I think it was a soundtrack or something... Anyway, nowadays, each time I listen to Kashmir I miss the violins from that remix... -

I's been sort of a "Mississippi week" for me... one of my all time favorites: -
Finally. Welcome back, Mike. Missed your posts at "What are you listening to"...

I personally prefer they'd concentrate on replicating watches.

Why can't they manage to make the easiest details right?
Adeodatus replied to Smab's topic in General Discussion
What you are suggesting, Smab, is that rep factories and gen companies are working closely together, in agreement to produce "lesser" reps. Although not entirely implausible, I find it highly unlikely. I believe that gen companies are working towards eliminating the rep market in every way possible, by limiting parts, raising prices, working directly with Chinese govt., and much more. I think that the case with producing quality reps is driven by market forces. While the market, or the buyers, demand higher quality, producing a true 1:1 watches would limit the market to new buyers, of that specific model, only. Similar to automobile industry, which introduces slightly upgraded or "face-lifted" version of the same car, the rep factories are utilizing their loyal and satisfied customer base to resell the same watches over and over again, parallel to acquiring new customers into the circle. It's, simply, a much smarter business plan than finding new customers in such a limited, in the first place, market. -
Mr. Green Corn, stop torturing us! Where did you get this beauty?! Do tell... (btw I actually like it better with the calf strap you showed the other day)

@ASCI White I think I just met my second wife. Hope she cleans well, 'cause that's my wife's absolute requirement for our second wife.

Mr. Kukuruz, could you tell the class a little bit about your toy? Custom mods?

I'd say Santa Margherita if you are planning to relax in town as well. La Spezia is not a place I'd personally choose, but worth a look if you are on a budget. Listen to LHOOQ.
