Since the gen crystal is too large I was wondering if there is an out of the box replacment crystal available at all in case I should ever need one? Or wil I have to rework the case and bezel to make anything fit?

I also want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation. None of the pseudo elitist bull you so often read on other sites. Only real gentleman with a good set of manners here.

I do not have exactly this strap but similar ones (Rubber One etc.). Usually on the longer side of the strap there is more than one hole. You cut the strap and push the small springbar from the clasp through one of the other holes.

It seems really hilarious to me that folks in a rep forum suddenly get into a discussion about "IP-rights".

Shot this at the bay for the price of 7734 movement. I think it is out of the ordinary with its vibrant colors. Unfortunately after setting it a few times the date won't change anymore. Will have to open it up soon and make use of the chronograph course Inrecently started.

Well I am working in a software company. People wear clothes much worse than Polos. :-) T-shirts, shorts and sandals seem appropriate for some. Polos are for management.?

Talking about smaller watches:

I know this post is quite old, but I recently ordered one of Mary's bracelets for my 7032 and don't use it because I cannot tolerate the last midlink. I wear the homeplate on a solid link bracelet now which many gen owners do to prevent the precious 7836 from wear. It also gives the watch more substance IMHO. But nevertheless I would like to try that out. Any tips how to easily remove the bogus figure 8 midlink? Looks troublesome at first glance.

If you like modern Daytonas you are not in a perfect spot. But I think you have made the right decision as an important point in the aesthestics of the watch is its thickness. Usually no-one will ask you to start the chrono. But I can spot the thick Daytonas from a mile away. The hole proportions seem out of whack.

Ordered a 7836 bracelet from her yesterday. Good that she is here now. I don't like having to stray around in the other forums. I try to avoid the rude language there. :-)
