Not easy. What you pay for a gen strap depends on your patience. I have seen them from 200-350€. An aftermarket gator strap can be had for 100-200€ ("The Watchboys" have excellent quality). But in the 42mm Radimoir case it is especially difficult as the watch has the rare strap size 25/20. You might get away with a 26mm as well if you work it a bit I guess. I was lucky as I found mine on Chrono24 and bought it from a collector in new and unworn condition for 200€. I jumped on it without hesitation even though it cost almost as much as the watch. It is so obvious that in this case the strap makes the watch. Of course you can always have a gator strap made to your own specs from various sources.

The movement while nicely made is an obvious tell as apart from the fact that it is inverted also one of the bridges partly overlaps with a gear-wheel. Nevertheless I am not complaining. The watch has great presence without being flashy or braggy which has partly to do with the smaller size and the fact that it is rather flat. The finish is excellent, and unless a collector tears it from your wrist I do not think that it can easily be identified as a fake. The gen strap ( or a comparable OEM strap) is an indispensable accessory though as the strap that comes with it from the TDs screams fake from a mile away.

I have to admit that I am a little concerned about the gold plating. But as I will most probably not wear it more often than once a month I should be ok. Gen strap btw.

Even if I am in danger of boring you: Here is another pic which better shows the special features of the appearance of the watch. The orange dor on the seconds hand, the arrow hour hand, day/date and the colour gradient.

I was in similar situation with Josh once, when he shipped the watch to a wrong address and kept me on the mercy of the other guy sending the watch to me instead of resolving the situation by himself. I was lucky and received the watch in the end minus a strap that the other guy kept presumably as a compensation. But if I don''t who know what would have happened had the other guy just kept the watch. He lost me as a frequent customer at the time. Yes it is an illegal business but especially then it should be based on trust. Replacing the watch in a case like this should be a simply matter of customer courtesy.

Also: Many of the guys here are into Panerai and you have an endless selection here. But when it comes to AP, Patek or special deployment buckles it's another story. You can search the net like forever and more often then not you end up with a pretty pricy solution.

That's what I am talking about. This is what should come with the reps in the first place. I appreciate that a lot of guys are into aftermarket straps. But if I buy a watch I at least want to be able to wear it out of the box. No can do with the ugly stuff they are equipped with. Also there are already so many options it wouldn't hurt to supply a decent strap with 50-90 USD uplift.

It always strikes me that this problem is so overlooked. When it comes to the watch itself we are talking about details which can only be identified with a loupe, but the straps of even the superreps scream fake from a mile away. It is almost ridiculous. I was lucky and found a gen gator strap at a decent price for my new Rad but I still paid almost as much as for the watch itself. There must be a solution for this from the rep makers, or not? -Alwx

Hi guys, I ordered a PAM 336 don't have it in my hands yet and have the possibility to buy a gen strap with 25/20 at a decent price. Now I am unsure if the rep has the exact same measurements as the gem. Don' t want to buy a strap that won't fit. Can anybody enlighten men? -Alex

Are you refering to the Sicura instead of the Marine-Star logo? Strange isn't it? Never seen it before, but it is definitely genuine. Why would someone even bother to remake it and then mess it up.

Shot this one the other day at the bay. I paid too much put I was looking for one for a few month. This is one of these watches that when in good condition look like being worth ten times more than there original price was. Unfortunately very rarely can you find one that is not rotten, although they are very common. It was one of the watches that were made shortly after the Breitling name was sold to Sicura. It is kind of a hybrid, not the cheap rubbish that Sicura had made but far from the Breitling quality as well. As I said I was looking for one in good condition for quite some time, and I am happy that I found one. Runs perfectly and keeps good time.

Yes, I just received confirmation that this is fixed. That means that the 28/29 version will become a collector's item with prices going ballistic after some years. :-) Go get one! ;-)

I was so looking forward to that watch. Really hope they fix it before the final release. With all the work they put into these "super reps" how something like this can happen totally escapes me.

Marti, there are two modes for air play. Normal mode and mirror mode. Mirror mode is what you are using now, and it works fine but sometimes lags at least in my network when watching 1080p. Normal mode is somewhat different as in normal mode apple tv will stream and cache the content directly form the internet without using the PC as a proxy. Normal mode was initially supported by t4p but is broken since the last Apple TV software update I am sure they will fix it soon. -Alex
