  1. But not via USB KB! You will need an HDMI cable to connect your laptop to one of your TV's HDMI inputs.
  2. It's all looks. Great price? 900€ for a Chinese Movement with a Swiss rotor, when I can get chronos with a Swiss ETA 7750 at 399.-€? Well to each his own, but I dunno. For me this kind of customer misleading marketing is more than doubtful and I would not support it with a purchase. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Probably with the wall clocks around our wrists these days a micro rotor can be reconsidered. After all automatic watches were 33mm and smaller a few decades ago.
  4. I can relate as I have a skinny wrist as well. However I adjusted and went with the trend. If you are into gens you basically have the same problem.Wall Clocks all around. I have the luck that my wrist is rather flat and not round. So I can wear anything up to 44mm. The largest watch I own are a 44mm PAM 243 and a 44mm Lüm-Tec bronze watch. After that it looks ridiculous. If you want smaller watches you are more or less stuck with dress watches or vintages. I bought nice gen Speedmaster recently for under 1000€.
  5. That is exactly what I understood. PT is talking about V2 and claiming all the features others sell as V3. I suppose there was 2nd batch after the V1 with a few problems like mismatched hands. They corrected this and added some changes with V2. So some now count 1.5 as an extra version thus the V3 confusion. However I heard that an upcoming V3 will have running serial nos. as the only additional change. Correct me if I am wrong here, but that is what I understood after some reading. -Alex
  6. Damn. Apple TV support is gone after an automatic update of the Apple software. Hope they fix this fast.
  7. Makes me better understand the gen price tag....:-)
  8. I can remember when I bought a Daytona years ago and knew nothing about the creative seconds at six solution from China. I had problems and brought it to my trusted watchmaker. He worked for companies that in return worked for the well know swiss manufacturers. He is a very traditional retired watchmaker. When he opened the watched he was staring in disbelief on the additional wheels without any bearing just lying on that plate grinding away. It took him a few seconds to recover while repeating the words: "What a bunch of idiots. How can they do such a thing? :-)"
  9. I just don't understand the concept of paying a bunch of international lawyers a lot of money to close down websites that will pop up a few days later under a different URL. Go figure. -Alex
  10. That is amazing. It even has built-in support for Apple-TV!!! Thx, Marti.
  11. Thx for the link Martijn. That was entertaining!!! :-)
  12. If you look closer you will realize that the gaps are actually a design feature. Look at the first pic. The hood looks strange from the angle I had chosen. Again look at the first pic and translate what you see to photo of the hood. Trust me the gap has the exact same distance on all parts. I am a lousy photographer and only had little time.
  13. A Porsche 918 Spyder E-Power. 918 pcs. will be build. At 768.000 € it is a bargain. :-)
  14. I have a V2 that I got from Sead. I cannot see any mismatched hands on mine as another poster claimed would be a problem of these. The changes from V1 that PT claims are: The V2 Black Bay has updated the color of makers's gold and hands's gold, they are the same color now; Case、Caseback、Buckle and Sapphire are remade and are very similar to genuine; The pearl is reproduced and it's shape is very close to genuine; The Crown Tube is longer than V1 and the Tudor Flower on the crown is Thinner than V1; The code behind case is diffent in different watch, every watch has it's own code. I have yet to see or hear about a V3. Maybe someone else can enlighten us.
  15. I guess there are only a thousand of these worldwide. Welcome to the age of low energy consumption and fuel efficiency. :-) [ attachment=129255:IMG_0242.JPG]
  16. I received my Black Bay yesterday and I am amazed by the overall finish. Now I am wondering if all the watches from Z have this quality. What about the PAMs? Not that I need another Panerai. But I am curious. Any comments? -Alex
  17. Here is what PT claims: The V2 Black Bay has updated the color of makers's gold and hands's gold, they are the same color now; Case、Caseback、Buckle and Sapphire are remade and are very similar to genuine; The pearl is reproduced and it's shape is very close to genuine; The Crown Tube is longer than V1 and the Tudor Flower on the crown is Thinner than V1 I do not know if this is correct. Just quoting. Any way. It sure is a great rep. -Alex
  18. I have decided not to bore you with my bad photography skills as other posters have taken care of this. And frankly I do not think that photos do this rep justice. With an artsy photo you can make almost any rep look good. I have a good dozen of reps including some Noob ones that are considered excellent reps by the community including PAM 243 and JLC Diver. When I held them in hand for the first time although they are good replications the experience was underwhelming. They look like gens but certainly don’t feel like one. The JLC has a clasp that feels very cheap and the 243 while overall it is certainly a fine watch is simply lacking the crisp finish of the gen. They don’t FEEL gen. And that is what IMHO really sets the Black Bay apart. The finish is really on par with the gen. No sharp edges, no cranckiness in the bracelet or clasp. The dial is excellent with the sunken edges. The clasp even feels better than the gen one (which actually was a little cranky). I can compare them very well as I held the gen in hands the other day. I was originally planning to buy the gen as it is an affordable piece. But I decided to try the rep first and sell it if I wouldn’t like it and go for the gen. Now I will keep the rep and never look back. I do not own a PO or FF rep as the other poster mentioned, so I cannot compare with them. -Alex
