  1. Am I missing something? Puretime seems to be down. and where Perfect Clones used to be is now a company offering protection against DOS attacks. -Alex
  2. I disagree with many of the posters. The buyer was misled by not mentioning the scratches. That is a serious flaw of the watch. Period. This is not mended by offering a refund AFTER the buyer has gone to a whole process of messages, payment, and potentially returning the watch. It woudl be a different story if the watch was scratched during the delivery process which is obvioulsy not the case. I believe it is a fair suggestion to reduce the price.
  3. Never mind I figured out the micro adjustment thing. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&th=1585891&mid=5465901&rid=21282&rev=&reveal= -Alex
  4. I can only repeat what others had said, and there are quality pictures already I couldn't make. But this is an amazing watch.. I am sure this will get a lot of wrist time.I have read in another post that there is fine adjustment of the bracelet somehow hidden in the clasp. Can someone give me a hint as to how this works? -Alex
  5. All is well. PT will cover the charges. Only question is how long it will take them to get their act together.
  6. I would not even mind to pay up. But as this was bought via UK shipping to another country I am not the recipient. Some puretime middle man is the recipient. Of course our "trusted dealer" has gone silent. The overall perception seems to be that the dealer is responsible to get the package to the third country if via UK shipping is chosen. Let's see if they keep their word. -Alex
  7. I would still like to know if puretime will cover those charges or if my watch will to in the parcelforce warehouse forever now. Of course I got no answer from puretime so far. -Alex
  8. Hi, has any of you ever experienced the following: 1. Via UK shipping 2. Package is released from custums 3.ParcelForce Pool depot holds the package and is awaiting payment of customs charges. I suppose the UK operation of PT is paying the charges in that case? Or will they send a new watch and hope that there will be no charges with that one? I have of course no idea how high the charges are. I am just sitting tight since end of December waiting for my watch.... -Alex
  9. That is probably because we don't have highway shootings. :-)
  10. Absolutely. Nothing to worry happend to me not always but often.
  11. Also I find Chronoswiss watches are ugly would be classics.
  12. If the gun lovers would care to take a loock over the fence to other civilized continents like Europe or Asia they would probably redo their phoney math. It is a cultural thing that won't change from one day to the next by taking guns away. But in the long run banning guns will pay off. Not seeing this is completely stubborn and unresaonable. Like having no speed limit on German highways. I would not like it as love driving fast but not seeing that this kills people and doesn't really make sense is nothing but immature.
  13. I have the same luck where I live. He is a retired watchmaker but he has moved his whole shop into his home. He had spent a large part of his life in Switzerland where he worked in some of the well known watch manufactures. He is very knowledgeable and he even has a young apprentice. He always frowns when I bring him a rep but he works on it nonetheless. :-)
  14. Same here in Germany. That is the reason why there is UK shipping.
  15. The scratch pen does nohting at first. It takes some time, which is good so you can't really do anything wrong. The brushed part was very uneven when I received the watch. Especially around the crystal there were parts that looked very flat. Now it looks very refined. I was at a conference yesterday and the guy sitting next to me had a gen Blancpain, so I suppose he knew about watches. He couldn't take his eyes of my watch. So funny. Had he asked I would have told him that it is not gen of course, but he didn't. I have read that the cartel version is more exact in general but the MBK is more refined from the factory. Now all I need is a closed caseback.....

  17. Yes, I did. When I started I just wanted to get rid of a fine scratch, but then I ended up doing the whole watch.
  18. ...with a cape cod cloth and a scratch pen. What do you say? I like it a lot. -Alex
  19. I have that one as a rep too. Can you do a picture of the piece where the screw goes in that holds the rod that goes through the strap? Because that screw looks really lousy on the rep and I just cannot believe that the gen would have the same lousy quality. So this could be an indicator. -Alex
  20. Of course you can go in and out 100 times without a problem. The problem is however that in Italy and France opposing to most European countries the ownership of counterfeit goods is a federal offense. In other European countries ownership is legal, only trade is illegal. Having said that ownership, of counterfeit goods can cost a fine of up to 10.000 €. so to take the risk of a completely ruined vacation just to have your favourite wathces with you is probably not worth it.

  22. The 40mm versions of Panerai are really only medium grade reps. Not terrrible but no comparision to the latest reps from H-Factory or Noob. I also was such a pussy about my 6.4" wrist but actually it works quite nicely with the 44mm versions. See for yourself: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/151560-pam-240-with-new-chocolate-brown-gator-strap/
