  1. I know that this is old news for most of you but man is that a well made rep. It is almost scary.
  2. .....and wanted to share it with you. Makes you appreciate gens with manufactured movement in a different way. http://people.timezone.com/library/horologium/horologium631672890575309581 -Alex
  3. Excellent. Thank you. Just read your post. I will get back to you via PM as soon as I have sorted out things with Yuki. -Alex
  4. I am located in good old Germany and customs have gone berserk here. It has become almost immposiible to get anything into the country from outside the EU, since customs have decided to focus on harmless watch geeks rather than drugcartels. I was wondering if one of the appreciated forum members from the UK would be willing to act as a proxy as I am in need of a Yuki case, I understand that is matter of trust but having made good experience in this forum so far I am willing to take the risk. -Alex
  5. Had to turn down the monitor brightness. Nice collection.:-)
  6. Yes, sure we trust each other. But it takes away part of the fun IMHO.
  7. I always was under the impression that you are supposed to take a picture on the very day of the post.....or maybe nobody cares to set the date anymore. :-) -Alex
  8. Who in their right mind would want a watch that while at the aiport, shopping and waiting for boarding would say: "Your battery is empty, your watch will be shutting down soon."
  9. I still believe that it is one of the Rolex USPs that they are not selling wall clocks for watches. I always felt that the huge watches are lacking elegance and subtlety and have kind of a show off character. As a classic company you do not necessary have to follow any trend. Having said that I own a PAM 243 myself and wear it quite often. But then Panerai has their own character and Rolex has theirs. Why not keep it that way and have some diversification amongst the brands? -Alex
  10. Do not look for flaws. It is a gen. :-)

  13. I would be very careful about this. It really depends where you are going. In Europe the laws for counterfeits are very in-homogenous. While in Germany usually the worst that will happen is that they will seize the watch, in France you can be fined up to 300.000 € and in Italy up to 10.000 €. You can take it easy of course and just hope that you run into the friendly customs officer mentioned by another poster. But if run into someone who had a bad day or does not have enough sex you can be in a world of trouble. Just think about if this is worth it. I would never ever bring more than the watch on my wrist and one in my luggage at best. Even if the watches are not identified as counterfeits you still have to answer questions whether or not you have paid due tax for them, provide receipts and so forth. I am not saying that you can't cross borders with 3-4 watches at a time for 100 times without the slightest glitch. I am just saying that [censored] happens all the time. -Alex
  14. The lume is really great. Even better than my H-Maker and Noob PAMs. It is very bright but not very long lasting, just as can be expected with Superluminova. As for he German Watches, no I have none. I am flirting with a NEMOS though. Here is alum shot of the Lüm-Tec:
  15. Hi guys, wanted to show off my new Lüm-Tec. I wanted a bronze watch and of course I was thinking PAM first. But with my 6.5 inch wrist it was hilarious. So i stumbled across this one. I really love the rainbow colors it has after some aging. Depending on the light you see black, yellow, gold, gun blue, red, grey and brown. Sorry for the bad pictures. I am not an artist when it comes to this, and the iphone camera does not really grab the variety of colors and shades, -ALEX
  16. I have made a diligent search about what could fit me, and ended up with the Lum-Tec. Interestingly there had been a few other brands I had liked but most of the models are already sold out! There seems to be a real run on bronze watches these days. I am very anxious to add this one to my collection.
  17. Hi guys, I want a bronze watch. With my wrist a Panerai Bronzo is out of the question, it is just too big. I stumbled over the Lum-Tec M54 which has a size better suiting my wrist. There is a European Distributor called kabtime which would take away the extra tax that would apply if I ordered the watch on the corporate Lum-Tec US Site. Now maybe I am just paranoid but something about their site feels fishy. So my question is has anybody ordered wih them? Are they legit? Here is the link to the watch BTW: http://www.kabtime.eu/?page=tovar&tovar=308&lang=en -Alex
