  1. True Italiiano, there are plenty of good points on this one; It appears to be pretty solidly made, no blatant flaws, double AR, proper datewheel. This certainly is the nicest available rep in the Avenger line, thats for sure!
  2. I've got a review of the rep coming any day now. You will notice that I state that the new "Red letter" dial has perfected this watch. The red text, added chrome rings on the lume and logo give this watch the sparkle and dimension that it needed. From my review...
  3. Thought I'd put together a short "Quickie Review" of this long anticipated rep. Seems the biggest flaw on this one is the "half dot" next to the date window. My guess is that the date window is slightly too wide. If you notice, this dot is smaller than the rest on the gen. Hopefully Josh is correct and this will be corrected on the non-prototype models. The pearl on this one is wrong again. The metal edge of the pearl should be wider and the glass & lume should be a tad smaller. Not since the old factory Avengers have we had a perfect Breitling pearl. Also, notice the circular lume dot in the 12:00 marker. This should be a flat triangular bit of lume. The pushers on this one are ever so slightly too long. No biggie, and I doubt that you will be able to tell the difference without having a gen to compare. You can really notice the difference in size of the date window in this comparison. In my opinion the rider tab overhangs the crystal slightly too much. Again, a minor flaw, but its there nonetheless. Over all I think this one will be a winner, especially if the lume dot gets fixed. Josh and Andrew have produced a nice watch here, and the price is a lot less than I had thought it would be. The biggest disappointment is the delay in the Pro II bracelet, but hopefully some of the other flaws will be sorted out by the time its ready. BTW, for those with small wrists that are contemplating ordering this watch. I have the gen diver strap and it is too large for my 6.75" wrist by at least on full hole. I don't feel like punching a new hole in a gen strap, but it really is aggravating.
  4. Hmm, Andrew has this listed at 44mm, breitling has it at 45mm. That would account for the date window being too outboard. Beyond that the watch looks awesome. The pearl isn't perfect, too much glass and not enough steel, but really not bad at all. Just wish I had some cash for this one right now, although I really wanted the ProII, so hopefully I'll be able to afford it by the time its released!
  5. lets turn this into a pic thread!
  6. Pearl looks the same as always, just touching the edge of the triangle. BTW, I've done an in depth review of this watch that I'm hoping to post this weekend. Congrats, beautiful watch!
  7. Very impressive Zig. Always amazes me at the amount of precision that can be obtained on such small pieces.
  8. My days of hiding girly pics under the mattress are long gone my friend This one belongs in the hands of someone who can display it proudly, so when guys like me come for a visit...
  9. What do you mean upgrade? Aren't they just standard 7750s? Or are they the 21k version? I like the Oris, but I think I prefer the Costa version a little more.
  10. Sorry Lan, I don't think the wifey will let me hang that anywhere near the house
  11. A new Oris And a cheap Rollie What do you think?
  12. Great first choice for a chrono. I picked one of these up recently and must say its the most accurate chrono I own. Its an absolutely beautiful watch, and should be in everyones collection.
  13. Sorry for the confusion BT, this link was originally posted at RWI, and the dealer described it as 41mm. After looking more closely I realized it was the old school UPO Lite. It really would be fabulous if they were available again though! Here's the link... http://www.houseofsouvenirs.com/omegaswiss_040.htm
  14. Also by the shape of the "flutes" on the bezel. The 42mm has a much finer pattern.
  15. I do think it looks gen as the buckle appears to be less sharp at the edges. The Rep appears to have a brushed buckle. But that seller is also selling a rep Panerai strap and deployant in another auction, so he is no stranger to reps.
  16. That is true of the newest version, but the older version had the stamped logo. The raised logo was only introduced recently.
  17. NOTE: The dealer has this listed at 41mm, but on closer examination I can almost guarantee this is a 45mm. Looks to be almost identical to the old UPO Lite, only with double AR
  18. Check this out, I wonder if any of our dealers could get this? Looks to have the proper he valve location, good pearl, good crown, steel movement holder and anti magnetic cover. A lot of improvement over the 4th generation PO, but this one uses the DG4813 28K movement. Here's the link... http://www.houseofsouvenirs.com/omegaswiss_040.htm
  19. It appears that the stem has broken inside the crown. I'm pretty sure Zig has the tools to fix it.
  20. Spoke with Josh yesterday, no new updates to report
  21. I have no doubt that its going to be good, but seeing as this will be a "cartel only" watch, based on a gen, I really believe this one will be in the $400 range.
  22. Im a little more skeptical. Watch the documentary "Who killed the Electric Car" and tell me if you are still as optimistic. http://www.whokilledtheelectriccar.com/
  23. I live about 2 miles from a nuke plant. I grew up about the same distance from a coal burning plant. There are always things in this world that can kill you, like cars, planes, guns, etc. I consider the risk to be minimal when you take other risks into consideration.
  24. I've been looking forward to this for a long time, but judging by the prices of the Cartel's latest releases, I think I'm going to be waiting a lot longer
