  1. Very nice pics of a beautiful collection!
  2. That is a really awesome looking watch! I can really see how you would miss your gen. My PO's are probably the most worn watches in my collection.
  3. Sweet, interested to know what the price will be on this strap?
  4. Well my UPO Lite developed a stripped crown/tube shortly after it arrived and Trusty immediately replaced it at cost, which allowed me to have both the pumpkin and black version of this beautiful watch. Several months back I replaced the crown/tube assembly with gen Omega parts, but the other day after setting the time, you guessed it Another stripped tube. Luckily I had an extra set lying about and today she is good as new, but this is the third tube in less than a year, and I can't even blame this one on the shitty rep part! Is there something wrong with the internally threaded crown/tube design or am I just a victim of bad luck?
  5. @BT, if you find a source for the inserts, order and extra one for me and I'll split the shipping cost with you.
  6. I would remove the rotor and re-seat it. Don't over tighten it as they can break off causing real problems. As mentioned before, check the movement retainers are properly in place, as they can sometimes interfere with the rotor.
  7. Sorry, I spoke with him on June 20th. Cut me some slack, I'm on vacation and nearly constantly drunk
  8. Just the 28k 6-9-12 configuration I believe.
  9. Unfortunately Trusty doesn't update his descriptions as often as he should. The Chrono Avenger that he has listed there was added to his site in mid 2006. It is actually the second version of the 21k 7750, which was "new" at the time. Today of course, "New" refers to the new 28k version of the 7750, which runs at the same beat rate as the genuine.
  10. The SFSO is a very good rep, but anybody that knows Breits can spot the rep without even turning it over. I think the SMP chrono rep + a gen insert might be the closest thing going. But opening the caseback of any rep is going to be a dead giveaway unless you happen to find a genuine movement.
  11. The 4813 is NOT an ETA clone, even though some dealers tried to market it that way. The "clone" movement in the heritage appears to be just that, an exact copy of the ETA 2824. I would put money on the ETA fitting perfectly in the case and the hands working perfectly.
  12. My guess is that an eta would be a direct fit. I doubt that any of the silix parts would be compatible though, except for the movement. If you are talking about replacing an ultimate movement with a silix movement, forget it. My guess is the silix version is just as Asian as Trusty and Josh's version.
  13. The problem with the UPO insert being "off" lies in the pearl/bezel assembly. The pearl is actually attached to the the bezel, not the insert. The hole in the bezel where the pearl sits is situated a little to the right of where it should be. The solution is to remove the bezel assembly, and separate the insert. Then, remove the pearl from the bezel. enlarge the hole where the pearl sits, using a dremel, towards the left. Remount the bezel, without the pearl or insert. Then using epoxy, set the pearl in place, and lay the insert over top to ensure proper positioning. Once the pearl has dried, glue the insert in place and you are good to go.
  14. I spoke with Josh about July 20th and he told me mid July, but I am thinking he was a bit confused and meant August.
  15. The Navitimer is a small watch at about 42mm that gives a large watch feel. Look at the speedy reduced version at about 38mm if you are looking for something really small. Also, the Omega SMP chrono is fairly small at 41mm, but has a big watch feel because its fairly thick.
  16. A couple of my Ti watches. Its funny, ti is far from being my favorite looking metal, and these watches don't get the most wrist time, but every now and again I get the itch for something large and light. When the CA is on the ti bracelet, its astounding how light it feels when you pick it up!
  17. Seems the dealers dont have very good pics of the black dial, but if you look at the blue dial you will see much more detail. Seems the subs are slightly recessed with concentric rings.
  18. A hungover wife, rain, and a severely sprained shoulder can only add up to one thing... A kick-a$$ mod to my second generation Chrono Avenger! I've finally had enough of the ugly as sh*t pearl and have fabricated a new one. Let me just say that I am thrilled with the results! So what do you think? First a "Before" pic And the "After" pics
  19. I assume you are talking about Goodwood? 15 minutes from me mate! I haven't been in a Kart in a long time mate, would have loved to move up to a formula car but its an expensive hobby. Even more expensive than this one!
  20. This one will work fine in the Serie Speciale and all 6,9,12 Navis.
  21. If the earlier posted pic of the gen datewheel is accurate, I think your font is still lightly too bold. Once there is bound to be some shrinking or swelling which could work in your favor or against you. You should consult with your printer and find out which way it will go, and adjust your artwork accordingly. My fear is that it swells, and your already too bold font gets bolder. Great work thus far though, and I'm following this thread with great interest. Also, if you really want to make some cash, produce a datewheel for the 3,6,9 navitimer with single digit fonts pointed in the proper direction
  22. Brown, whether it be in painting or printing is one of the hardest colors to match. BTW, put that sucker back on the Breit strap Hike!
  23. You lucky SOB! That is something I've always wanted to do but will likely never get the opportunity. Used to drive carts, and was pretty good too, man what a rush!
  24. I've got the same watch and its a tank. One of the best values out there right now!
