I'm a big fan of Walterstraps. Here is their most recent posting from Paneristi.com http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/thre...traps+by+Walter Here is their photobucket album http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c388/pam2pam/ Banda straps are also very nice and affordable. www.banda.com

David, I have nothing to add to your post, but I have often considered the 212. I like the domed crystal, the layout, and the crown on this watch better than the 196 (which I had and did like). I've seen a couple of dealers offering a new and improved sapphire/ar crystal on the 212. I could even go one step further and get the swiss 7750. I know there is a handwind "seagull" movement out there too. Decisions, Decisions. Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Sadly, Rocket hasn't done a posting. Takes the cake. Giorarmani takes a close second. I heard rumblings about some better pics Gio!

Iwc Group Buy, El Closes The Gap.....!
Estaban replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
According to EL, my money has already been spent on lap dances from his favorite stripper, chicken wings, and some suds. I'm glad someone is having fun. -

All I have to say is power to the masses. Thanks "Richard" for putting this together. Great response and thanks for committing to one of your links to me Do we start our ordering from King now??? -
Jew gold???? You've crossed the line my friend. As far as I'm concerned, you've just put yourself on the banned list. You are very lucky that there is cyberspace between us because you would be in a world of hurt without it.

Looks like we made it. I will need at least one extra link from our dealer or another kind soul. -

Iwc Group Buy, El Closes The Gap.....!

I'm in for an inspected $210 Ingenieur. I do need one or two extra links for my dinosaur bone wrists. Lets get this one done today!!! -
Looks great David. I'm not sold on Ti watches (I like the heft of ss/brushed ss), but it is very nice.

I could care less about date font. I'll never meet another person that has a Ingenieur to compare it to. AR would be a nice fix. I would even pay a bit more for the AR coating. It just adds so much to watches (ex: Breitling Seawolf/Chrono Avenger, Pam 111/036) I also need an extra link as the watch can only be sized up to 7 1/2 inches. -

I too am in for a $200 Ingenieur is they are inspected pieces, not drop shipped. Some dealer will make a lot of money off of this group buy. I wouldn't be surprised if there was 50 interested people. -
If Only Davidsen Can Fix The Font On His Dials
Estaban replied to bklm1234's topic in General Discussion
I have money in hand ready for David for a 005 or 000. I refuse to buy a display back Pam rep with an "upgraded" movement that doesn't look anything like a gen. -
Has Anyone Purchased A Breitling Super Avenger?
Estaban replied to Estaban's topic in The Breitling Area
Chronomat123-The SA available from both Josh and Andrew has a sapphire crystal and seems to have good build quality. Yes, the dial is from a Chronomat, but frankly, Breitling makes so many varieties of their watches and has changed dials like the wind, so who would know. The new and old gen SAs have different bracelets altogether. Here are pics for comparison. I still have not heard of anyone purchasing this watch. pics in order Josh Andrew Gen Gen -
I have yet to see anyone purchse one of these on any forum. I've always been interested in it because of its size and because it is pretty accurate. Would love to hear from anyone who owns one.

Fantastic post. You obviously have studied hard. I wish I could do simple watch work. Maybe when I retire in 25 years.

John Mayer Concert - Pam With Steel Band
Estaban replied to Category 5's topic in General Discussion
More importantly, how did you like his show?? I saw him playing with Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters at Bonnaroo in 2005. He is a guitar virtuoso, but does look like a muppet. -
I prefer the 091. Anthracite dial, cleaner look. I guess that's why there is chocolate and vanilla. Wear it well David.

I have no idea how they acquire the hides. It's obviously not illegal as they ship all over the world. I'm sure the hides don't come from poachers. It is a beautiful strap that will outlive me. It's like armor. Sorry to offend anyone by wearing it. My daughter really likes Babar, so maybe when she's old enough to ask what Daddy's strap is made of, it will be sold.

Just got this yesterday. ABP strap. Not cheap. Very well made. Put a nice old style TC buckle on it. What do you think?? This strap is indestructible.
-
I have a custom ABP elephant strap on its way. Might arrive today. I'll post a pic. $200 for this one.

I can't wait to get my straps a little beat up. With so many straps, it's hard to get a good patina going. The only strap I was worried about scarring was my Greg Stevens. Too soft for me. Great looking, but delicate. Sold it after a couple of days. If you want a strap that is tough and develops a great patina, get a Woj. Many choices for $80.
