Just got back from a nice weekend in Key West and actually have some money left over. Not much, but will send some tomorrow after I deposit it before I spend it on something silly. Hope it helps.

Photoshop CS2. I'm thinking of having one made. I have an old Lorus Mickey Mouse watch to use as the donor for the hands, and I have created the dial with Corel Draw, I figure if I get a Noobmariner maybe I can con somebody into assembling it for me. I've been looking around for another Mickey Mouse watch with the same type hands, but haven't had much luck. It's a beauty, ain't it?

I've bought boxes from Jay before, I believe I bought three, a Rolex, Pam and Patek box. I didn't have any US customs problems. I'll probably go back for more eventually. I don't know how authentic they are, but they look pretty nice.

Cool. Don't forget to mis-align the datewheel.

Yeah. A table number or reservation would be cool. I don't know how to do that. I'm gonna be wearing a white t-shirt with COUSTEAU SOCIETY logo (Calypso) blue jeans (levi's) white Reeboks, a PVD Davidsen 202/A on a tan Don strap, and probably carrying an umbrella. (by the way, your inbox is full, slay) I was also thinking of going up a little early to have a gander at the Canal St. wares before the GTG. I guess I gotta type faster.

That's just remarkable. elegant and simple. Nice Job!

I have a 104 with 7750. It's been OK so far. Hope it stays that way.

That's not a watch. It's ART.

You're probably right about gens being automatic, I wouldn't really know, but I have a quartz rep and I like it a lot. I haven't seen any reps that were automatics.

How much luck have you had with your reps?

I guess I'm pretty lucky. After about two years I have Rolex: Datejust TT, Colamariner (I have my reasons), Perfect Sub from Josh, 5517, GMTII, TT Daytona secs @ 9, SS Daytona secs @ 6, Cellini quartz. Panerai: Regatta, 104, 202/A (Davidsen), Omega: PO, Speedmaster (manual), Seamaster Pro, Constellation. A Patek Calatrava manual, Tag SLR quartz, Breitling SuperOcean, Vacheron Constantin quartz, and a B&R BR01-92. The only problems were with the Daytonas. The TT secs @ 9 was originally shipped as a SS, was replaced with correct watch by dealer, crown fell out during regular (non-strenuous) wear after about a year, dealer never replied to emails about how to repair, The Zigmeister replaced crown and tube with gen. Daytona secs @ 6 sent with black leather strap when ordered with brown leather, even after emailing a picture of the rep to the dealer. He said he would try to get the correct strap, but apparantly he didn't try hard enough, as I never got the right strap. Found one on the 'bay. I don't buy watches from him anymore. It keeps good time, chronos work great, but can't wind it manually. Roror spins, but no wind. Impossible to set the time correctly, when I want to set it, I wait until my atomic clock displays the time on the Daytona, then I shake the crap out of it. Seems to work. Contacted the dealer since it was NG out of the box and (same dealer as the secs @ 9) he said it was OK. NOT. Could be a lot worse. I 'spect I'll send it off to The Zigmeister for a look-see after his long awaited and much deserved break. So all in all, I can't complain. They all keep good time so far and not too many things have fallen off. -
Cuisine (Cuban) and date (July 11th) fine with me.
-
Odd indeed. I guess I better get out of the shower. Wonder what's up with that?
-
Exxxxxcelent. That's a real looker!
-
I can make it for the 11th. Cuban or Italian is fine with me. The idea of a private room may be the key. Can some "entertainment" be provided as well?
-
You can put me on the list for the 14th. Anyone else?

How will we know who we are? I know "we don't need no stinkin' badges" but how about a name tag? I hate 'em generally, but trying to figure out who we are, assuming we can decide on a place to meet, in the middle of NYC might be somewhat of a challenge. Idea below. Scale to suit.

Apparantly someone managed to steal W's watch whilst he was greeting supporters in Albania? Just wondered if any of our members managed to scarf it up. Wonder if it was worth stealing? Kudos to the Secret Service.

I kind of like these cheapies. Don't know exactly why. I've got three Canal St. specials, one of 'em is about 20 years old, and they're all still 'ticking'. I hope to acquire some more soon. Again, have no idea why they appeal to me. I think we need a new forum for 'pooper-reps'.
