I sent an email to the seller, being polite, informing him that this is not a gen, but a poor excuse sh*t rep trying to be pass as a gen. (Thanks Guanaco for the report). I think some ebay buyers who think they're getting a deal should do some research. Its not hard to compare these pics in the auction to ones from Omega.com. If it seems to good to be true, well.......

Look as this POS Planet Ocean on fleebay. Looks like the 1st version PO. Wrong datefield, color, short & incorrect hands, pearl, etc. just to name a few. He gives the definition of a chronometer (how nice) and then states: I am not affiliated with OMEGA, nor do I represent them in any way. (This is not a trademark) Fake PO

Thanks BT & Jeff Note - The Rep Ladies Constellation does come in automatic as well - its an ETA-2671 25j movement. Saw the models with the diamonds and others with gold, but the wife is not into yellow gold. JEff - how's the quartz model? Whats the overall impression?

My wife is anti-rep, everything's gotta be a gen (lucky she's not into watches, only Coach hand bag & watches ). While in the city in the other day (Chi-town), took her to Tourneau in Water Tower Place to see watches (there's other shops on Michigan Avenue that carry more high-end watches). Passed by the Omegas and she actually fell in love with the Contellation. I know Jay has an auto & quartz version, but I would opt to go with the auto version for her. Just seeing if any members had any experiences/reviews/feedback with the Ladies Constellation.

Looks awesome. I'm debating whether or not to have my crystal double A/R on the same watch, but I have the gen dial. Wondering if the double A/R will ruin how the wave effect is seen from the dial.

How do members send out watches to be repaired to our modders in different countries and have it arrive safte and sound ? Same question - how does th modders send the watches back to members in different countries and arrive safe and sound ?

Question - if sending from the US to EU and it gets flagged from EU customs, do they go after the recipient or the shipper? I know that throughout the EU, customs varies. I just sent over packages to Norway and Holland, where both buyers stated that there are no issues with customs over there, as long as you declare it properly. BTW - good idea Surpur - not using real names/addresses when shipping. Should have thought of that

More than likely, by the time you try to go from quartz to automatic, you might save yourself the trouble and just spend the extra few bucks and buy a used seamaster.

Be careful - you will then need to replace the hands and the dial actually. If you look at both, the quartz and the automatic, you would notice that on the dial, the date window is more in on the quartz then on the automatic. For a better comparison - just look at the difference in the 3 oclock marker.

Jay and I had exchanged emails last month regarding new watches. He had told me as well about the Heritage Chrono, which is defintely on my list. I was thinking about picking up non-chrono version, but will wait for the Chrono version.

Not too sure about accuracy, but spending close to $500 for a basic rep (I wouldn't classify this as a super-rep) is insane - IMHO. I have seen the asian models even cheaper (WBK) and the Swiss around the $400-$500 mark (I beleive one of the dealers on RG had it).

You have alot of patience my friend. I would have (as done in the past) kicked the living sh*t of someone trying to steal from me. You need money or want nice toys - go get a job. Can't get a good job - go get a frickin' paper route now.

She can no longer source these reps anymore. Whoever received the correct watch - they're golden. For those, including myself, who received the wrong watch - we're SOL. Had to send them back to her for a refund.

Damn, did I make a mistake by purchasing a Heritage? I guess I can always buy a spare dial (hopefully). If not, just buy a brand new watch

Havent tried the 22mm, but yeah, the 20mm isn't the best. Try chronoswiss on ebay. Got mine with the buckle for about $150 w/out the spring bars. What you need to do is get thick spring bars to prevent any gapping with the strap and the case.

I bought one flat for my Omega Qmatic - it's an 21j movement from Silix. The original crystal that came with the watch was flat. So, no worries about swapping it with a sapphire flat crystal. Just got me an 21j Omega SMP 2254 (damn Angela from Ioffer couldn't come through for me). I bought a single sided A/R crystal from Krysworks for the watch (if it was ETA - then it would have gotten the double A/R treatment from Cheif. Try others like Silix...... Jules Borel has sapphire crystals that 30.4 in diameter and I beleive 2.4mm in depth.

Edit to the post above - Krsyworks only has flat crystals that measure 2.5mm in depth. Their domed crystals only measure 2mm. Another option is to PM the dealers.
