  1. Thank you for this Post !!!! Your watch is really superb, not to mention the oustanding quality of your pictures and your clear comments. Building an accurate daytona is a very exciting yet exhausting project. Thinking of all those details over night, night after night !!!! I built two very accurate V72 some years ago, a 18k 6263 and a steel PN 6240 -the best ref in my opinion as NOBODY reps them- but I was never happy. Always a detail to bug me, a new quest to change a bridge engraving that wasn't that great, a flaw in the dial that would seem to grow bigger every day and so and so.... I took a trip to Vietnam only to go to a factory myself to conduct the manufacturing of my 18k case as the ones I found in Thailand all had flaws.... I finally sold both for a lot of money in HongKong, and I sleep better now !!!! I swared I won't try anything else on that side untill I buy a genuine one. But of course, looking at your post, the bug is getting me again...
  2. By the way, the "faded" and slightly blurry aspect of the pictures was intended to make them look vintage... I don't know if I succeded in that. Outdoor shots are still the most picturesque.
  3. Hey Lolex, could you make a post of your DW with lots of pics please? I'd love to see more details of this case : between the lugs, clear profile, etc... People always show the same angles. Thanks in advance !
  4. Since I made earlier today a sales post to offer a good copy of the 16600 I had, I also took the opportunity to make an other photoshoot to share my 1675 with the community. So here is my third post about vintage Rollies... I'm really getting to like that !!! This one is also an icon, less popular than the 5513, but a good third row after the queen Daytonas and the Submariner family. It has more character with its colored bezel, and I think that is why some people don't fully appreciate it when compared to the sobriety of the all black Submariners. Enjoy the pictures and don't hesitate to comment !!! By the way, for all three watches I'd love to show the movements since they are all very clean, but my watchmaker shuts the backs so tight that I'm always scared to damage the backcase by trying to open them by myself.
  5. Thanks for your nice comment !!! Yes, it's a Jaguar. If you're into cars, you can see more of it on that post :
  6. Thank you for your comments !!! Here is a wrist shot.
  7. Thanks Zeleni !!! Although I don't know what I could possibly do with your balls.....
  8. Who knows.... It seems they were mainly retailed in the UK. At least, most gilt "3,6,9" explorer dials were. I used to find it ugly, now I love it !!!
  9. First I would like to thank the members who sent me so many nice PM's about my 5500 post in this forum. I had PMs asking me details about the 5513 pictured in that post, so I figured I should make a new post to share some pictures of that watch. I think the Submariner is a fascinating watch design wise: it had nothing to be a collectible, and yet it became one of those watches most afficionados have to own. Why? It isn't rare, it came out as a rather cheap tool watch, it has a very commun movement that can be found in the less desirable models Rolex has made.... But it's been fourty years we all love it !!! That crave most of us have for this particular model makes it an icon. I hope my pictures will please you as much as the pictures of the Explorer I. Cheers !!!
  10. Hi guys, I live in Beijing for almost 6 years. For the past 3 month the police is raiding every dealer that carries top end reps. Just the lousy ones are left !!! Same in Shanghai and worse in Guangzhou. All the high end market have gone underground now. Sometime I can get from a seller who knows me for years some decent stuff, but it might soon be over. If ever you can get good watches, I'd say that is is only about 10 to 20% cheaper than your trusted dealers. Don't expect a better deal for the SAME watch you wanted from TT or PT...
  11. Is this a DW? If it is, I always wondered if the dial diameter is correct compared to the genuine... Isn't it a bit larger?
  12. I am sorry but I don't understand what you mean by "white pn"... Can you please rephrase my friend? Best, Jack
  13. Thanks for sharing! Your GMT looks terrific!
  14. No mate, but I know your country quite well! Great place to source gen vintage Rolex retailed in the 70's in Clark's PX....
  15. I LOVE the 107, beautiful design : one of the best german design for the period actually. I'm glad you liked my 6238, it's a neat little watch. How about your 6263? Is it a V72 powered one? It looks great on the picture. Here are one last couple of shots for the road: it's a game actually to take those driving wrist shots!!!
  16. I had to try again!!! So I just drove out a short while and shot these pics attached. I must admit I felt a bit stupid driving with one hand and taking pictures of my wrist with the other....... Good I was the only one on the road!
  17. Nice watches! Mostly the GMT. What car is this? Looks like a 70's Mercedes.... It's hard to take a decent shot while driving right? I've been trying that for a while without success....
  18. Thanks, they are Art according to Mr R. Lauren ! I love them even better when they are willing to drive with no issues.... We vintage car lover are a bit nuts aren't we?
  19. Thank you for your comment ! Is this a Yuki dial? It sure looks like one.... Nice watch !!!
  20. Thank you very much, I deeply appreciate your enthusiasm. Please make a post soon featuring one of your watches with your car !!!!
  21. Well my friend, you know that if that was my sales post I would have shown everything !!! Anyways, i'm still stunned by the dial quality, really ! Please post some more pics after you perfected it. Best !!!
  22. The end link looks just fine, but for the clasp it happens on the other side.... No hallmarks on the case, dead give away....
  23. Are you kidding ? We are here to share !!! So here it is :
  24. YES !!!! Mine is a 1960's model I bought a few years ago and I drive it everyday I can. Condition is beyond imagination for an old sedan since they are all pretty much wrecked or dismanteled to restaure more valuable models. The previous owner spend over 30k to improve it! But time will make the difference: Lyons considered it his masterpiece and the very achievement of his brand in terms of design, and it was the main inspiration for Callum to go into Design. You make me want to post more pics mate !
