  1. In know Vietnam quite well, and I have personally met most major aftermarket parts dealers.... David is is SZ: it is a different network. HCM workshops are very artisanal and their machinery and production methods dates back from the 70's... Which is interesting to produce dials actually made in that era. The chinese use a whole lot different method of production : film for the chinese vs etching for the viets. However, different production method, different finished product. The plates DW will use are not yet made ! One thing for sure, he will be much cheaper than the viets, and that's why I focused on him.
  2. Thank you for looking at the plate number 1 designs. Attached are the designs for the plate number 2 (exotic). Any major flaw? Is there a design he missed here? Thanks !!!
  3. I wish !!! But it's up to him really ! I'm just a customer trying to push for better quality aftermarket parts, as I am tired to pay for poorly finished items, overpriced only because of the demand and not because of the quality...
  4. There are 5 fonts for "rolex" used here.... All based on gen dials high reso pics following the original design by the micron. What do you have in mind by "off" please? Thank you.
  5. Yes, there are many variants on sigma dials as the sigmas were added afterwards by Singer.... I'll add a couple with your positionning. Thanks for the input !!!
  6. Hello all, as you may now, DW will soon have new replacement / aftermarket dials made. He says he will use a new maker that will be able to achieve much higher quality that the replacement dials made so far... At this point, he tries to rationalize the production by plate type classification. There are 6 different plates Singer used, attached are the designs (produced or not) for the first plate type. Each of the 6 plates have different subdials grooving, coronet and index sizes and locations. Rare archives from Singer were used to recreate these dials. Note that the said archives are in black and white, therefore there might be some color variations between the original production and this aftermarket product... At this point, I wanted to ask the expert to have a look at this first design to let us know if there are some major mistakes that should be corrected there, or if DW is missing some designs... Many of us need replacement dials, as the original ones are getting harder and harder to get in good condition, so I believe it is worth the effort to help him to have a complete file.
  7. Unfortunately, I can't open his blog here in China.... Do you mind downloading the picture and posting it? Thanks !!!
  8. And by the way : what the f**k are you doing on this website ?!? Gathering names to sell us up ???
  9. This is just aftermarket dials mate..... Then what you do with it is your problem !!! Wether you are dishonest and want to fit it in a fake watch, or replace your beyond repair gen dial is your call...
  10. I didn't know about the special bezel and hands... Very interesting !!! Do you have a document to share with us?
  11. Thanks Akira, but I believe we have everything already.... But well, better be sure than sorry right?
  12. I think David will only make the dials that meet enough demand as the makers requires a minumun order... So show your interest for the ones you are looking for and PM him !!!
  13. You are right about the PN, and it should be done.
  14. Totally right about this !!! We'll know more in one month, once the first batch comes out....
  15. Please guys, Note that these new aftermarket dials are not yet produced !!!!! We all have have high expectations, but we'll know for sure only when they are made !!! So cross your fingers with me, and wait for december... Patience is a virtue in this hobby.
  16. Also, note that for the first time you will have holes for gen coronet feet AND rep coronet feet.
  17. David will soon have new aftermarket dials for all Daytona models... If you want to pre-order : just PM David directly.
  18. Hi Freddy, I read your post before asking and I checked the brake and spring already (7750). I believe I have the same caseback issue you had: with removed cb it works fine. Funny thing is it didn't happen earlier! I guess the gasket got a bit thinner and that small difference was enough to let the caseback bug the movement. I'll machine it today and that should solve the problem. Still, I don't understand how that hand could have been frozen at some point.... It doesn't make sense. DW mysteries.... By the way: do you know where to get a good FLAT gasket for 62xx cases? The round ones don't do the job really. Thanks for jumping in !!!
  19. Now it's wandering, and won't stop... (?!?) Weird. I just let the chrono run a few times, and it looks like it unlocked the hour totalizer. But after resetting, this one keeps on running. No issue on the pusher side, so it must be under the dial...
