  1. You could always try replacing the crown. I think several members ordered these for the Toro special Santos. http://bit.ly/1cuexM8
  2. Masmannan is correct. From PT website: Diver: 42mm x 13.8mm Safari: 44mm x 16mm So many watches, and so little time.
  3. Not that I have heard about. So many watches, and so little time.
  4. Op, please stop quoting the above answer/s and inserting your comments within the quoted text. It makes your responses very difficult to follow.
  5. Rolexman knows what he is talking about and is probably correct, but there is another possibility. If a watch is running extremely fast it can indicate a magnetized hairspring coils. Magnetized coils stick together which shortens balance wheel rotation thus increasing the beat rate. Find a watchmaker with a demagnetizing machine and have him give it a shot. If that doesn't work be prepared to pay for a full service as Rolexman said.
  6. Something many forget to consider in the equation, you can usually buy a quailty rep of the same watch in gen form for less than it will costs you to service the gen after 3 to 5 years!
  7. I would venture to guess they are probably the same watch. Sometimes dealers have different prices. I would suggest you email both dealers to confirm availability before ordering. A lot of beginners jump in and order a watch without inquiring about availability only to get upset when the dealer comes back and says the watch is out of stock and to please pick another. Don't believe it is in stock just b/c the website says it is. Trust me, it happened to me on my first order.
  8. I would estimate the pusher buttons have about 2 mm of play, while the stem has none. The same for both a7750 model and quartz rep. The gen has about 1 mm of play.
  9. Call a different AD. I bought a strap last month and the AD didn't ask for anything except where to send the strap.
  10. I bought a Swiss V3 from Toro a little over a year ago. When I opened it up it had a Swiss sw200 movement as ordered.
  11. If you end up ordering one from PA, could you please post or PM your thoughts on the quality. I have been curious about the quality of their AP's.
  12. I wear my watches little loose, about enough to get my pointer finger under the strap.
  13. Correct. No fee to send money via WU for 1st transaction.
  14. Stumbled upon this today and thought I would share it with you guys. WU has a code for no fee 1st transaction, valid until 08/31/13. Code. WUUK1
  15. I have an idea but can not guarantee it will work. Since you just need the crown, you could try buying a cheap AP rep from PriceAngels/ watchiv for $85 and see if you can switch the Crown or just the rubber over to your watch. I am guessing it will work, but like I said I can not guarantee it.
  16. Sardonix I think I hate you now! Beautiful watches mate. Very envious.
  17. He posted the new web address over on RG, torobravos2013.com.
  18. I have bought probably a dozen reps from Toro if you count the 3 that are currently on there way. I have had nothing but great experiences with Toro so far. In fact I can say that about most of the TD's I have dealt with except for two, who I will not be dealing with again. I hate being told something is available and then receiving QC pics of some POS that is completely different!! Btw OP, incase you have not seen Toro's post, he is no longer accepting PayPal.
  19. Already tried the bay. The only buffalo straps that come in the size that I am looking for are the Bob straps. There was one OEM Buffalo, but unfortunately it is the wrong size.
  20. No, I searched a lot of his ads and never saw where he mention a strap made from buffalo.
  21. As the title says, I am looking for a strap that is close in quality to the OEM Panerai Black Buffalo strap for a 45mm Radiomir. Anyone have any suggestions?
