  1. And what about the aperture ? (don't know if it's the right word)
  2. Makes sense But when I see the lights on the second picture, I was thinking this would surely make an overexposure. At the end you're right, PS can solve this problem.
  3. Nice one ! I'm wondering how to manage a 30s exposure without having the background too bright.
  4. Nothing I can't live with But it's important for all members to know. I learnt with this matter that there are two weeks on a wheel, not one. And that with a basic QC from the dealer, this is not something you can discover. You must be willing to make such a mistake, it's not possible otherwise... Only on one day ?? I would understand if the whole datewheel was reversed...
  5. And while doing so, please think about setting your time at 3.15 or 8.45. It is nothing else as a watch that has been turned 180 degrees, so IMO it should be taken care as a very standard 7750. An other proof of this is that the start chrono is down and the reset is up. Just rotate your watch of 180
  6. In the meantime I'll set the time at 3.15 or 8.45... Fair solution until the doubt is raised. I mean it... Kick in the balls, me say ! The dealer has already proposed an exchange at his own expenses (sounds good) but I'm wondering if it's worth risking a trip back to China, knowing that the movement works perfectly. It seems that the factory does not want to supply the DW alone. They want to exchange (swap the movement ?). Has by chance anyone obtained a DW from an other dealer ? In any case, those buying th OCC : have this particular point checked thoroughly. If your dealer does not dropship ...
  7. The strap look good, although the pics are too small indeed. I am wondering how is the back of this strap. @Yaron : I like both but have a small preference for the strap (nylon or leather) as it makes the watch look lighter on my small wrist. Also there is a true reliability issue of the clasp (that breaks) and it's nice to have an elegant backup solution for this bracelet.
  8. Mmm... Not sure if I want to go into an exchange process for a DW problem. I will try to get a new DW.
  9. Dear all, I have a doubt regarding the way to set the date on this watch. I felt some resistance while doing it and now am very reluctant in manually setting the date. First a picture of the watch (took it from Tin0, thx !!) Actually it looks a different from the usual seconds@3 7750 (Blackbird for instance) as the crown & pushers are on the left. I MO only the dial is reversed, as all the rest just look like the watch has been turned by 180 degrees, i.e. we have a very common 7750 onboard. Therefore my question : should I apply the rule of setting the time at 6.30 before setting the date, or consider I have a normal movement with reversed dial and set the time at 12.00 before touching the quick date setting ? I hope I have not damaged the movement... Thx for any hint.
  10. Here's what I mean with upside down. It's important for me to know if all batches have this trouble or only some : if all have it, I'll just live with it. If not, I'll ask for a replacement DW. Besides I have a very noobish question : while setting the day/date I felt some resistance. As the movement itself is reversed, does the rule of time set at 6.30 apply, or should we consider the opposite with this movement ? (hope I'm clear). This might be a key issue too, as this movement is used more and more in recent reps (Blackbird for instance).
  11. Nice job ! The bezel alignment issue solved is in my eyes the only flaw I'd like to settle. As wrong as it might be, I have a little preference for the polished sides. Question of taste for sure. But I admire those who can diassemble and REASSEMBLE their rep, especially when it's a complicated piece. Kudos to you !
  12. A mutant submariner SD4K was right, it wears like a 44mm watch. But hell, it's thick !
  13. Hi Folks, mine has just arrived, the first inspection shows that everything is perfect. As you mentionned, the SUN day is upside down (there are idiots working there or someone made a private joke, I can't explain this otherwise). Actually there are 2 sets of Sunday : I suppose this is normal on an ETA wheel, but I never noticed the thing before. I guess this affects all models ? Well, it seems we'll have to live with that every fortnight...
  14. That is a good idea indeed. But I'm not sure if it's paint or the black from a laser marking. No idea. Besides, that watch is not for me, so I won't take any risk.
  15. I'd like to add something I have noticed by looking more in detail at the rotor engraving : it sure looks more genuine, but I find that the quality of this engraving could have been better. I'm a bit disappointed on that, because it looks not 100% neat. As it's anyway half hidden by the caseback, that might be an other detail. But I felt the information was necessary, to be honest and complete on this comparison.
  16. The pattern of the lite version is deeper. Actually the comparison I did yesterday includes a (not anymore) lite version (the SS one). But this is only visible on macro shots. V2 V1
  17. He has posted here today. Maybe you would like to PM him to make sure he received your order ?
  18. You mean that Breguet now uses the Chinese movement too ? This ad is for Timesshop then
  19. I have hesitated a lot, and I don't exclude to get Homer's one ... once I wanted a regulateur, and I got good conditions for this one. What I don't like in Regulateurs is the mix or roman and arabic digits. This one avoids that trap. I can tell you from now that Homer's one has a practical advantage : a bigger crown that enables an easy manual winding. My Breguet is not really easy to handle from this point of view. I learn every day.
