  1. Ken, here's where I would have rated you "AGREE" JuanG : it is legitimate to worry about where our money is going. But it's true that there are so many scammers around that the boards unperfect dealers are a real asset for our hobby. Imagine that those claiming they do all what you asked for would have probably never shipped the watch. There's one thing I really learnt : what is important in our eyes is often a detail for others. And QC belong to these "details". It's a fact. The good dealer is the one that handles your complain properly (and Watchmark did it at the end), and the one listening to you AND acting when you have troubles.
  2. The absence of a smooth bezel (ceramic or steel) just kills the design IMO. I don't like it.
  3. THAT dealer does not exist... You'll learn that after you tried every single trusted dealer here... This is an illegal business...after all. An other thing : initiating immediate chargebacks or filling PP claims is exactly what brings a dealer to see his accounts frozen... That should be the ultimate step. Not the first.
  4. I have nothing engraved on my lite version (I mean regarding the material). And this RG is engraved as Limited Edition. I think there are many variations with the gen too.
  5. Hopefully I should get it in 1 or 2 days (left on 22nd)
  6. Well, I'm not a specialist but a quartz movement is in any case more reliable than an auto. Miyota (citizen) are surely the biggest manufacturers of such movements and you find them in most quartz watches around (I own a Festina and it is equipped with it). Actually I don't see the advantage of a Swiss quartz against this one. Except that Swiss movements maybe have more originall layouts and/or features.
  7. Hi Negru... difficult to know without opening the watch, but most of the quartz movements with this layout must be OS 20. BTW, do you need to change it already ?
  8. Hi, Admin had to remove it during the last software update, as it seems it really takes too much bandwidth. We have to live with that. It will be sadly missed, but reason said it had to go... While posting on RWI I was always looking for the ZING button. It was so easy on RWG.
  9. Normally the old one is a straight swap. But don't forget that this one is modified, as it has seconds@3. So probably this rule of straight swap does not apply.
  10. Thx So the low beats (<20 Kbph) are probably a good choice... If you have no or small seconds hands. Who said the low-beat 7750 is a drawback against the 28.8 k ?
  11. Hi, I've always wondered. Does the beatrate affect the movement's life (shorter ?) and the power reserve ?
  12. You can't be a bad guy with such a cute girlfriend And I suppose we have the sister in the signature ?
  13. Hi Folks, I' like the chime in, to give a balanced opinion. I have paid 3 watches to Watchmark last week by credit card without problem. That was the first time for me. I can't imagine nor agree with those who say that he wants money for free : do you think a board dealer would be that stupid ? He may get a few bucks, for sure, before loosing all what has been built before. That's plain nonsense and I would say it's the result of unlucky situations and accumulation of bad communication. What annoys me recently is that I can't pay Mark by PP or MB anymore : all accounts are regularly frozen... And this has nothing to do with him, but with buyers filling complaints all the time. We all know that complaints are legitimate and protect us when the goods are not shipped or when we are delivered with something else as advertized. But they are abusive (an easy step for people always in a hurry or don't want to discuss things) when buyers complain for goods not being delivered fast enough, a missing this or that... We all know these stories of broken springbars which end in a paypal complaint. Or those mentioning "Cartier Replica" in the payment object I definitely leave the benefice of the doubt to Watchmark, and would continue let him show he is there to sell us reps at better rates than those dealers so many of us complain about, not to steal our money in a dumb manner. Maybe I'm lucky but... I've been buying from him succesfully and without surprise nor defective goods for 8 monthes. And those frozen things happened very recently... right after Mark has been a regular dealer here. Draw your own conclusions. We have lived such situations in the past too. With very good dealers. There are dealers we never hear of, but those making the situation improve (understand, following their way and proposing something different, including lower prices) are automatically treated as if they were the worst persons around. As if they were behaving in a suspicious way. I have had bad experiences with Silix, Andrew, Sashwatch (turned scammer), not a single one with Mark. Nor with Joshua, River or Ruby I must say. But statistically I bought 10 times more from Mark... Don't forget to name the "trusted" dealers when you're not happy. Not only the new ones. BTW, Mark is not an apprentice anymore But surely still has a lot to learn. As we do. @RobJ : speaking about his accounts on iOffer, I suppose you had a look at his ratings (as Seikomark and Markzhai), and maybe at his other accounts on CQout. They are all more than good. If his account(s) were suspended, there are other reasons behind I believe. I remember I have focused on these before I asked Mark if he would be interested in serving some "rep geeks" on this very board. I would never had done it otherwise. But of course, I'm not the reference here. And sometimes I make mistakes. But I'm sure that wasn't one. I have many Paypal accounts personally : not because I'm scamming anyone, but because creating a new account when you have to insure the continuity of your business is easier than waiting for the "legal dpt" of PP or all these nice chaps from ebay, ioffer or cqout to support you... We all know them.
  14. It's true the reps have been existing for a while now, but we don't cross them on the boards. Difficult to fight against the other Italian brand : Panerai ?
  15. I'm also hesitating a lot for the DW. If it's true that the digits shape are wrong, the date looks bold enough. And I must say that this is a mod that costs me half of the watch price, if you consider the cost charged for the swap + the DW itself...
  16. Sounds great ! Which version did you get ? The "calibre 36" or the "standard" one ?
  17. What I don't like is that we have no choice : ok if some of us like it. But what about the others ? I like to decide what I buy, and this is impossible today. We have 2 laptops at home, one shiny and the other matt. Honestly, blacks are deeper on the shiny screen... But for the rest, I hate seeing me in the screen when working (who said I'm ugly ?!) And it's just impossible to work outside (garden, airport etc...)
  18. Would that mean that bracelets are really not done for PAMs ? (and vice-versa)
  19. Hi, sorry for the wristshot, as I sold mine in the meantime. It wears small, but its square shapes make it look a bit bigger. However don't expect to have something huge on your wrist : it's supposed not to harm your swing when you play golf My crystal was sapphire (water drop test). I advise to have it AR coated (the gen has a light AR coating) or to get it in white dial. It'll cost you between 50 and 70 dollars, but actually the watch will still be ceaper than the one we get from the trusted dealers. And it will really make the dial pop up. Well... the strap... that was the thing which made me sell it. It's acceptable, not as crappy as the very cheap ones you have on PO, but it definitely takes dust. I think it's both related to the rubber and the pattern (little squares). But to be honest, so does the gen : I saw it at the airport and I thought they could have find a solution, for the price Swiss quartz as far as I'm concerned. I bought it on iOffer from a seller called Logotime. Everything went good, but I can't warranty he's a perfect dealer. At least he seems to have good feebacks. If you buy from him, it's a bargain, as for about 140 USD you get the "Swiss" version + box and papers, shipped ! I won't compare with Trusty or other prices, in this case it's just terrible how the price is set by our boards dealers... BTW, no "clasp", as you might have noticed. The way it closes is OK and I did not experience anything popping up. Hope this helps.
  20. Hi, sorry to play it bad. Do you trust a seller passing a quartz for an automatic ?
  21. I just noticed one thing from the pictures. It seems that the screw that holds the rotor does not have the usual "indentation", i.e looks smooth, which makes me think it is more in the gen direction. I don't know if this was done on purpose, but I feel it's an other + for this V2. Except the dial, I'm now just wondering if the V2 wouldn't be further more accurate ? First picture, courtesy of Hublot Actual watch which is on its way Silix's 375 dollar version (without ceramic bezel)
