Thx, I've always liked the BCE as well, but not enough to get one. Maybe I was a bit disturbed by the subdials design and fonts. For me, the BB just wiped the small things which disturbed me. And once more "black is just beautiful"...

I'm in love with this watch and was really desperate it would never be for me due to a huge size (44 is really, I mean really the biggest size I can wear). And your objective description of the situation makes me think I might give it a try. True, that would be awesome for a real usage in water... I can't (and don't want to) imagine how chunky it would be with a bracelet... As far as the low-beat movement is concerned, I don't take this as a drawback anymore since The Zigmeister explained that the high-beat is not to be considered as superior, just as different. Of course, sweeping will suffer of that, but that won't prevent me from purchasing a watch. The fine regulator makes it look more like the real thing, but it seems definitely confirmed that it does not work. Again, thank you for sharing your time and experience.

Detailed pictures could do the job to check if it's a rep or not. Also an easy way : on the rep, you set the date with the crown, like on any A7750. On the gen it is a recessed pusher which does that as far as I know. Picture of the movement alone would be the best tell, as it's true that the rep is otherwise very very accurate. Be also aware that the gen costs about 3000 USD. Any offer under 1000 is being suspicious.

For those who wonder, here is a rough size comparison with the SFSO. The BB looks bigger, wears about the same but actually is slightly smaller in size (diameter). As you see, the finish of the inner side of the SFSO strap looks much much better. It is.

4. Get the rep ?

I'm still making up my mind for one of the reps. There are so many small issues on the CD. If the rep manufacturers make this one better, I would go for it.

I often have questions about this strap, and I'm really ashamed that I don't remember where it comes from. That was on *bay for sure, but I have never found the seller again.

@LordRasta :I wear the PAM rarely, but I think there must be one in every collection. It's a very simple unmodded version from Silix. @DemonSlayer : I would be curious to know if the Quartz has the same case as the A7750 version. On the pictures, it seems so. If the parts fit, we could have spare bezels, straps and clasps for an acceptable price through this version.

I thought that some of you might be interested in how the bracelet looks like...

Here are the lume shots. The hands, pearl and main markers are of a correct level. The hours markers are a standard rep lume, i.e. pretty weak. The SFSO is far over the BB as far as lume is concerned. As you see also, the pearl is not immaculate. But this cannot be seen by naked eyes. The BCE pearl mod could become a must, if someone had a source.

Dealers tend to mention 44,5 because this is the original specification from the genuine. Again, misunderstandings are raised now And that's the way it should be : parts are most likely compatible, as the model 2 was repped from the model 1... Thx for the update.

Plated copper still exist... We don't see it from our dealers, but I saw some. Cheap gens as well.

There seem to be 1 gen model without this dial crossing. Can it be that the manufacturer just chose this one ?? If they make the whole range, we'll maybe have one correct rep. However, the most popular (black/red) is definitely off.

The subdials crossing was done on the quartz version with a simple OS20 movement, it must have been surely possible with the 7750 in a way or an other, even if not perfect. Making the subdial@6 larger for instance. If I understand the technical obstacles with the 7750, that flaw makes unfortunately the rep look odd and kills it from the beginning : it changes the aesthetics of the watch. I don't understand. The quartz is also advertized at 40mm : it must indeed be a different way of measuring, as the limit between the crown/pushers and the case is not clear. 44 COULD be WITH crow.
