Guys first off please do not post Pics of members from here or elsewhere without their permission. Second Luth has responded at RWI in regard as I stated in the interest of fair play I would post it, now you can decide for yourself. OK, this is my the only post, and you'll be not satisfied - I, honestly, don't care. Almost 2 years ago I tried to help Serge, who was my good friend, to order some straps and buckles in China. Since quantity was too small to chinese standards, they demanded payment upfront. Serge sent money, I transferred it to the factory. All $2,600. Then delays started - factory moved to new place, then they didn't have appropriate leather, etc., etc. Usual crap. So, I found another factory. First 100 straps were made quite fast, and Serge got it right away. Then problem with buckles started. Nobody wanted to make buckles with word PANERAI on it. Then, suddenly, I got 100 straps with buckles from the factory, that disappeared. So, 200 straps and 100 buckles were delivered. All this time I was in good communications with Serge (he's not a member at RWI, he said Trailboss banned him here for some scam (I don't believe he's able to scam anyone), but he's here under different name, just lurking), and, despite on long delays, that he understand, we never had a problems. Last 4-5 months he didn't answer on my emails, maybe, he was busy with new born son, no idea. I, finally, found the factory, who agreed to make buckles with PANERAI logo, and I ordered first 100, and also, 100 buckles with DS (Drabott Straps) logo on it. Got DS buckles first, shipped it to Serge, he was happy, but said there's only 70, not 100. I didn't count, honestly. So, I ordered another 50 DS buckles, and 100 PAM buckles. Finally, Serge answered on my emails, and Trailboss was in this communications for the last 3-4 months, I had nothing to hide. These 150 buckles will arrive in about 2 weeks, they just finished DS buckles, and PAM buckles will be done this week, already in work. I put the sum for the rest of the payment on my PP account, in case croco straps won't be delivered - I'll send money to Serge, no biggie. I'm not earning a penny on this "help to a "friend", I only lost. But it's OK, no biggie too. So, no scam, just I'd never ever help anyone from now on. Yes, almost 2 years, but again - ask Angus, how long it took to make Black Bay? And he's there, in China!!! How long take to make buckles for RWG watch? Almost a year. If you never tried to order anything in small quantities - expect insane delays. They take your money, and put you at the end of the line. And about $2K dinner - if I invite a bunch of friends to a restaurant - I pay the bill, and yes, it's over $2K sometimes. I don't do it often, but I did it a few times. I don't have to explain my lifestyle to anyone. Sometimes I'm with no penny, sometimes I can afford whatever I want. All depend on my business. @KBH - thanks, mate. @Bimmer - you're still here??? The Host Of The House showed you the door, and you are still here? Do you have any self respect? I guess no. Anyway, I explained everything, all things are in order, nothing to worry. If Admin. will ban me - I'm perfectly OK with it. I have many good friends here, but way more in real life. I'll be OK. P.S. I didn't log on at RWG since I left. When I leave - I never come back. So, I didn't read that post. This has not been edited in any way cut and past that is it. -
"Probably yes, since some months ago a 116610 noob v1 was sold on the bay for 6k" I think you are going to see a lot more posts "fake on the bay" since our guys are about the only ones who could tell with a little work to a TC gonna be tough to spot. You can pick what you want but a Gen crystal and insert should do the trick. I know the movement, but for a hit and run it would past muster.

"Its a sad state of affairs, and the way Luthier left RWG.bz like a kid throwing toys our the pram didn't ever make sense to me, but now hearing this, things are starting to make some kind of sense." steel yes, there was not enough cause for what he did but now......... -
Thanks Mike great review, as I know you have had a few of these in the past worth getting rid of those to get this one or do feel improvements marginal as you said being the avg. consumer looking at on the table?

Guys I post this because a lot of you are multi forum guys and this is big news as Luth was a very well known guy , a matter of fact he is/was in charge of making the RWG watch. As our affair with MD2020 was known through out the boards this will hit them all also. The verdict of course is not in resolution is still possible and desirable, but it is better to be informed than not. -

For those of you who can not go there this was the original post by Serge D strap maker a TD over there and I guy I have met in person at GTG's , a really nice guy but you can tell that by his post. "Almost all of you who dealt with me know im full of patience and compassion, and very often like to give freebies left and right to close buddies. Our well known member Luthier is/was one of them. Within weeks of knowing him he raised a question of me becoming a TD here, my wife and i were expecting a baby at that time and becoming a TD here influenced that much needed side money coming in. A few weeks after Luthier/George told me he knows an awesome factory that makes buckles of insane quality and sent me pictures of AP straps they make (pics were taken from AP Bands site as i found out later) so he talked/tricked me into investing a fairly large sum of money, at least to me it was large. It was august/sept of 2012. I ordered a bunch of calf straps, ap straps, custom buckles of all kinds. Promised lead time was 2-3 weeks. Then i got 14-16months of excuses of all kinds, i kept track of all emails and the excuses he was giving me just stopped corresponding one to another. I did receive a couple of calf straps in about a year or so. So my patience popped and i contacted Del, one of my favorite Mods/admins here. Since George/Luth isnt here anymore, i was transferred to RWIs mod to handle the issue. In December 2013 Luth promised to straighten everything out in two months, again silence, and he says he has just paid the factory, just now after almost two years pass. I know Luthier treated a good number of people here with disrespect. This involves RWG Watch Project, and another guy i met in NYC Watch show who almost got screwed by ordering a guitar from luthier. Point of this thread is to warn everyone who will be dealing with George/Luthier. He cannot be trusted, and even though RWG popped my cherry for watch addiction and strap-making, i wont be buying any of the two RWG watches that were reserved for me. I strongly encourage you to weigh things before dealing with this member, you are on your own as i know this man can talk sweet for a long time. I gave him more due diligence than needed. Thank you for reading, and please don't judge me for pouring this out in public as i got approval/encouragement from a number of mods including Greg." In fairness if Luthier should respond I will post here also. At this time there are 105 post in this thread no need to guess on which way the guys are going on this. -
It would seem another well known and trusted member of the community has gone off the rails. http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=73835 If he addresses this , well we shall see. But I do know the OP and he is stand up guy for sure.
