  1. I didn't go to the dealer I just did a search on gen forums and Ebay for a new or used factory strap. I just want to get it cheaply to test an idea I have.
  2. I want to get a replacement rubber strap like this but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg. Any suggestions?
  3. Oh, the wabi had me confused... I thought it was some vintage model. Sort of reminds me of the Ferrari models??? It's nice. I even like the rough case finish.
  4. This: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h306/asimut/_DSC4672.jpg From here: http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/thre...ars+of+the+show I didn't provide hotlinks because I don't know if that is OK.
  5. I looked and looked, waited and waited. You find them used for about $575-680 if you really look. You can find them new for $850 all day long. Many people try to sell used for $750, but for me, I would rather go new at that price point. With the weak dollar, it makes buying used outside the US very difficult.
  6. No He valve. It isn't a diver. It's a pilot watch. It calculates cross winds. The two crowns on the right control the internal rotating chapter rings. The bezel also rotates.
  7. That's pretty cool looking. If you have the money, I am sure Delaurian could do that.
  8. It is a 7750. It has sapphire crystal with AR.
  9. What's the dealer's user name?
  10. Acetone (nail polish remover) is the universal solvent for lume and dial paint
  11. I have also noted in nearly every picture of a Davidsen PVD, that one of the screw in lugs sticks out from the case slightly. This bugged me so I went with the River spring bar lugs.
  12. Awesome. That's the sterile dial I wanted for mine but settled for the C1 lume sandwich. Can you post more pictures of the case? Is it really that light grey?
  13. Looks great. I like the vintage look.
  14. I love my Triton diver and I have been actively trying to put together some straps for it that really set it off. I put this one together just recently. It has the one thin sewn-in keeper with thinned strap. So when it sits on the wrist, the keeper doesn't add any thickness and thinning of the keeper itself keeps it tight to the strap also. It is kind of a necessity on these 6+mm thick straps. I also added in a sewn in ss keeper ring that fits to the thinned part of the strap so that it doesn't add any thickness either. The final narrow floating keeper is optional. I haven't decided if I need it yet or not. Here are my other favorite for this watch: This one is really rugged and still breaking in. I've had this one for a while but I don't wear it on this watch as much lately. Then there was this one: Another favorite is my Watchadoo bracelet: What do you think? Which suits it best?
  15. This is a pic of a dagger swan movement that was listed as Swiss and had an ETA stamp. What do you think? Actually Swiss?
  16. 30m to me means you can splash water on it. I am not going to put my hand under water with that thing on. Call me cautious but I want at least 50m just to wear it in the pool.
  17. I believe he is linked in almost all the watch forums. He posts regularly in the sales forum on risti. Also he just set up a new website. www.teddy-straps.com unitektrading@yahoo.com
  18. If you get it tested to 100m why wouldn't you be able to swim with it?
  19. What do you think is the greatest depth they could be rated for? 50m? 100m? 150m?
