  1. I personally wouldn't be able to tell the difference in the markers and numbers unless I had both side by side. The printed text can always be changed.
  2. These are the two bony croc straps I purchased from SanDave. Since taking these I did sell the lighter colored one, so I only have the one now.
  3. Crystal polishing: http://www.timezone.com/library/workbench/workbench0018
  4. Man, I would love to build a sterile 40mm white base dial PAM for my gf... Impossible?
  5. Ha ha. Shoot. That's pretty similar isn't it? Oh well you know how it goes. Yeah well before everyone gets into a who did what first kind of thing, let's just respect everyone's effort. I mean when it comes to anything outside the typical, I think Delaurian has done most of it first including making straps out of actual baseball gloves. Well anyway, back to the "controversy."
  6. This submersible with blue dial is dead sexy. Any chance that such a beast exists?
  7. I have had nothing but excellent experience ordering from him, but all of my watches have been unbranded homages.
  8. I never thought about that. I wonder if that is possible...
  9. This strap was listed for sale and sold in a couple hours of posting if you can believe it. I wanted to share some pictures here because I was really excited about how it turned out. I made this out of a football. It used up most of the football. I was inspired to do this after someone requested a custom football strap for their project watch: It was an interesting challenge to get the look of the football stitch on this strap. I have always been inspired by pictures of various baseball glove straps. I hope to make one of those in the near future as well. In fact, this has inspired me to work on a project 1950 style watch. I've always loved the look of text as a graphic. And making a strap out of something that used to be something else is cool to me as well. What do you think?
  10. So what is the price/availability on the Kevin or TC version of the buckle?
  11. I am about to pull the trigger on a custom 47mm luminor case watch and although I may not go for the plexi crystal, I still want a vintage look. Who should I talk to about getting the dial slightly "vintagized" as well as the gold hands, and lume stained? What do you think a ballpark price will be? Thanks
  12. Here is a Levenger brown bomber pen wrap: (I am waiting on some pens to fill it out as we speak) Also shown is my recently acquired custom made Amboyna burl rollerball pen. Leather strap album from Panatime:
  13. I got to see one in person as a guy local to me had me build a custom strap for it, then take pictures. You can see those pictures here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=72713
  14. Thank you very much. I do still have some of that leather left. I have a very similar strap with slightly less character but much more supple for sale pre-made in my section. Check it out if you like.
  15. Only a bad one, but there are others out there...check out forums.watchuseek.com There is a Debaufre section with lots of pictures of the Triton.
  16. Here you go: (EDIT: if you want the rubber version that is) http://strappedfortime.com/RubberDiveStraps.html
  17. It started out as a nice condition Seiko 6309 vintage diver. I purchased dial and hands from MKII (Yao), had the chapter ring custom made, new Seiko bezel insert and crystal, black day/date wheels, beadblasted case and assembly by Duarte of NEWW. I also had him paint the tip of the black sweep orange. I mounted a beadblasted Watchadoo bracelet to it to complete the look. I have since sold the watch. Started out like this: This was my original concept but I didn't feel like paying for custom dial work: I ended up with this: My other Seiko diver mod project looks like this (I've sold this watch already as well) Seiko SKX007 to start. MKII dial and hands. Black Monster day/date wheels. Aluminum oxide case blasting and assembly by NEWW. I also had the factory bracelet aluminum oxide blasted except for the signed clasp which I had beadblasted to give a contrast.
  18. I find a lot of the screw lug Panerai style buckles have this same problem as do most of the cases that you find on the non brand or homage watches out there. I stopped caring and just use River spring bars now. I am happy with that solution.
  19. Sigh. It's pretty cool looking. Any chance that a sterile version exists or could be made/modified?
